The Ministry of Public Security announced that it has recently launched a special operation, the main purpose of which is to crack down on the criminal behavior of driving up the price of meltblown cloth. So far, 20 cases have been solved, 42 suspects have been arrested, and the amount involved is as high as 34.45 million yuan.

The threshold for identifying reselling is still very low. In the case given in the notice of the Ministry of Public Security, there was a case where the purchase price was 120,000-180,000 yuan per ton, and the seller was 190,000-370,000 yuan per ton, making a total profit of 679,000 yuan, and he was arrested according to law. Even though the profit was not exaggerated, he was still arrested, which shows the severity of this crackdown.

The crazy hoarding and price-raising by speculators has caused a surge in the price of raw materials for masks. At the same time, the skyrocketing price of meltblown cloth has also caused some companies to take risks.

Under the temptation of huge profits, some small and medium-sized manufacturers use other cheap raw materials to replace the core raw materials of meltblown fabrics. S2040 is one of them. This material was originally used to make non-woven fabrics. The meltblown fabric made with this material does not meet the standards at all. However, in the face of interests, both qualified and unqualified manufacturers have begun to lose their bottom line.

Therefore, governments at all levels are now strictly investigating raw material factories, and Yangzhong City, Jiangsu Province has even directly ordered all meltblown fabric companies to suspend production and rectify.

Meltblown cloth is the most critical component of the mask. If there is a problem in this place, it will not be able to prevent the virus at all, and will cause the user to be exposed to a susceptible environment while mistakenly believing it is safe.

In addition, most of our mask products are currently exported to European and American countries where the epidemic is severe overseas. Such inferior products have seriously damaged the image of our Made in China and made our "mask diplomacy" strategy go down the drain.

Although the source has been investigated, a large number of substandard masks have entered the circulation link, and the only way is to stop these inferior products within the country and prevent them from being humiliated. Therefore, the customs has directly launched a big move recently, strictly checking every box of masks!

Today, a large number of freight forwarders reported that the customs inspection of epidemic prevention materials has increased sharply, and almost every box of products with FDA or CE marks must be opened for inspection. As a result, many logistics channels have expressed that they will suspend the acceptance of masks and other epidemic prevention materials.

It is really not an exaggeration. Customs now really has to inspect goods box by box. The customs declaration time has been greatly extended. All goods without certificates of conformity and manufacturer's batch numbers and incomplete qualifications will be confiscated and handed over to anti-smuggling authorities.

Even disposable masks for civilian use must have a red-label certificate stamped by the manufacturer, otherwise they will not pass the inspection at all. Well-informed sellers began unpacking and stuffing the certificates overnight yesterday.
