Macy's launches a series of new digital services in preparation for the holiday shopping season!

It is learned that Macy's is launching a series of new services to welcome the holiday shopping season, including a re-optimized mobile application, live shopping, contactless payment and a three-dimensional room planner.

Users can leverage location-based services in the new app to seamlessly tailor their shopping to their local Macy’s store, including access to price and store map features, as well as product availability, buy online, pick up in-store (BOPIS) and curbside pickup.

In addition, customers can enable push notifications to get the latest deals, product releases and other exclusive information. It is reported that the new Macy's app will be launched on iOS and Android devices on October 15.

The company also launched live shopping events. Customers will be able to interact with hosts and stylists through chat, view products in more detail, get real-time reviews and recommendations, and shop items. Each show will have a focus theme, including fall and holiday apparel, shoes and accessories, beauty, home products and other categories.

In addition, Macy's has added PayPal and Venmo as contactless in-store payment options, and all Macy's stores across the country now accept these two contactless payment methods.

Elsewhere, users can virtually try out more than 13,000 furniture products through the “view in my room” (AR) feature in its app.
