Amazon's spring promotion is coming soon, and sellers are gearing up for it, but recently many people's advertising accounts have "exploded"! The system defaults to the hidden rules, and the advertising bid is automatically raised by 50%, and even the cost is tripled after superposition! Some sellers' ACOS soared 200% overnight!

01 Amazon advertising bids automatically increase
Recently, Amazon has enabled the "Increase bids for high traffic days" feature by default for all advertising campaigns without explicitly notifying sellers!
  • Trigger conditions: When using the "Dynamic Bid Increase and Decrease" strategy, the system will automatically increase the price by up to 50% during high-traffic periods such as big sales!
  • Scope of impact: Mainstream sites such as North America and Europe have been confirmed, while the Middle East and Latin America sites have not been affected yet.
Assuming the original bid for the keyword is $1, the system may automatically increase the price to $1.5. If time-sharing bidding and ad space premium are added, the actual click cost may soar to $3!
One seller complained: “Advertising costs are burning faster than orders!”

02 How to cancel "automatically increase bids"
1. Amazon Seller Central > Advertising > Campaign Management
2. Select the corresponding advertising campaign and enter the "Advertising Campaign Details" page
3. In the "Additional changes" interface, find the "Automated tasks using rules" section
4. Find "Increase bids for high-traffic days" and make sure the checkbox in front of it is unchecked
