Basic Introduction

In 2014, Amazon began testing their one-hour delivery service in New York City, where couriers rode bicycles to deliver goods to customers’ homes. This service was named Amazon Prime Now. Yesterday, Amazon announced that it would officially launch the one-hour delivery service in the New York area, but it is only available to Amazon Prime members.

All orders can be placed through mobile devices (Android and iOS), and you can observe the courier's delivery status in real time. Currently, this transportation product supports one-hour delivery of books, toys and some daily necessities.

Development History

In June 2015, Amazon launched the Prime Now service in London, where users can choose delivery within one or two hours.

In August 2015, Amazon announced the launch of Prime Now in the cities of Seattle, Redmond, Kirkland, and Bellevue.

In August 2015, Amazon also launched its Prime Now service in Birmingham.

In July 2017, Amazon launched its same-day delivery service Prime Now in Singapore, marking the e-commerce giant’s first entry into the Southeast Asian market.

In June 2019, Amazon launched its high-speed delivery service Prime Now in Turin, Italy.
