Combining my own experiences from the 28th to now, I still haven’t figured out why the keywords were lost this time.
Judging from the current situation, there is a high probability that there is a major algorithm update, but there has been no notification. The situation has lasted for several days, and there has been no official explanation, including from the manager group. It is really worrying, especially at a stage when traffic is about to increase in the near future.
Back to the article above, some people should have read it. Have any of them received training? What I remember is that their copywriting method may be particular (SEO layout?), but I am not sure whether they can avoid this algorithm adjustment. How much impact will COSMO's Ai algorithm, the embodiment of users and scene words, etc. in product copywriting have on the system's crawling?- Can different ways of writing copy make the system crawling more stable?
- The main point of suspicion at present - the inconsistency between ASIN and category. I have seen links with core words crazily spread on Wudian. Their keywords are still there. Is this okay? However, the categories I looked at are relatively limited. You can check if there are any unaffected links in your category and whether there are links with serious stacking. (Or your own ST)
- Adult label - most people are not
- There is no new progress in the currently opened cases. It seems that we can only wait and see. What about the operation of pushing advertisements?
Attached - the miserable data- This time it is mainly a volatile issue, you can observe whether there is a big price difference. If there are categories that are not affected, check whether the price difference is different from yours.
- Stack five-point description. Without considering readability, the core words of the category are stacked into the five points. Probably: core words, scene words + core words, selling points + core words, etc. Currently testing, waiting for everyone's feedback.
- Optimize the title - including reducing irrelevant keywords and leaving only core words (this is to cooperate with the advertisement. It will take a few more days, and I hope Amazon can solve the problem during this period.)
- I have been pushing the ad for a few days, but it has no effect
- The good news is - some sellers’ categories have been updated and restored (you can check it out)
Based on the tests of various advertising noobs (just kidding us, a group of headless flies), no effective way to restore it has been tested so far.
- Refer to the respective copywriting, the title of the five-point homepage picture, refresh, and then add scenes and user keywords related to the promotion, and change the ST to the big core words
- Let’s change to ASIN promotion. This is what we are currently preparing. Otherwise, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are coming soon and sales will drop too fast.
Everyone can test it according to the situation. If you are not sure, just do nothing. If there is a new method in the comment section, I will update it. Testing is risky! ! ! ! The following is an unofficial one, which was shared by others in the group: Starting from October 29, a large number of sellers reported cases where ASIN rankings on the US site were lost in natural search results. In fact, such problems had already occurred before the 29th (around the 20th). Sellers reported that the main ASIN that was originally in the top position in the keyword natural search was lost or replaced by other sub-ASINs. The search relevance team launched a new algorithm model on October 29 (it had been running a small-scale experiment before). The new model will downrank dubious ASINs in the search results of broad search terms, with the aim of reducing the motivation of sellers to manipulate search rankings through illegal behavior. The dubious ASINs here refer to ASINs that have been manually marked by the seller abuse team or marked by the deep learning model as having artificially manipulated search rankings. Currently, it only affects dubious ASINs, and only affects the search results of dubious ASINs in broad search terms (category "big words") (if you add qualifiers to the search term to make the search term more focused, the search results will be normal). The EU is also conducting related experiments, and this problem may also occur in the EU in the future. A friend told me that testing may be useless, but I thought, I can do it. I hope you don't mess up the links when testing. If you are not sure what can be changed, try not to change it too much, so as not to be unable to come back later. The current reliable approach should be: according to the actual situation, keep the sales weight. Last update: This is just personal speculation. In view of the fact that all current tests have been ineffective, and the information just seen from a certain account - the article has been deleted.
- Currently, a large number of ASIN keywords are missing. I guess it is probably an internal problem of Amazon. No matter how much you do, it will be useless.
- There is a sharing below in the early stage, which is very likely to be true - problems caused by manual or AI marking of ASINs in Amazon. Fake orders, off-site, artificial manipulation of rankings, etc., lead to being blacklisted (maybe the order volume of a single ASIN is large, and it is also detected as manipulation. But I didn't analyze whether domestic US sellers have this problem.)
- I mentioned a concept, that is, the richness of products under the big word search results may affect whether the natural position of the category disappears - Can anyone who understands this explain it?
- For the current inventory,
1) Add more ads, promote general traffic, redistribute the traffic structure of the link, and no longer focus on a certain ASIN. It is not recommended to focus on a certain ASIN as before (personal guess, not the correct method, but also a suggestion) 2) Change ASIN to promote the main product and increase the weight again, but the cost is relatively high and the traffic at this stage is also quite sensitive, so you need to make your own decision.
The safe approach should be: pick about 40% of the 10 ASINs to attract traffic, and then give up the rest, don't focus on ASINs, and reduce the traces of manipulation. (You put it up by your own ability, and it is also your artificial manipulation, my friend, there is nothing wrong with it.)
- Anyone who has a paid manager can check and if it is flagged, see if it can be pulled out again and restored.
It seems that there is no need to update it later. The Cosmos algorithm cannot have such a long-term impact, and it cannot continue to affect ASINs with such high historical weights. So it is most likely physical intervention, a one-size-fits-all approach. I wish you a big sale. Inventory is a headache, and everyone has their own unique way of dealing with it.

Summer breeze from the north - thousands of ordinary things become you and me Agree with: mysclw, I will say what I know, A6 of Spades, Holshet, DYY2154 more » I am a top product with a big keyword and the natural position is usually stable in the top three. But now it shows me variations. The traffic has plummeted. I have tried countless methods and none of them worked . I can only add a + sign in the middle of the keyword to search it out. Finally, I contacted the pass team, and the current response is: We have received feedback from many sellers about this issue. The relevant team said that it was caused by a new update to the search algorithm, which is a correct update. They are currently planning to draft a notification for sellers. Please pay attention to further notifications from the seller backend.
Regarding your abnormal ASIN, we have further tried to contact the internal team to inquire whether there are other search anomalies. We are currently waiting for further response from the other team. We will continue to follow up for you and you do not need to take any action.
It seems that the algorithm is going to change. I don't know whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. In addition, does anyone have any latest news? Will the natural position be restored in the future? Anonymous user • Guangzhou • 2024-11-06 10:22 I was panicking. So I posted a picture above. The public account said that it seems to be able to cater to this algorithm update. I just want to see if anyone has come across it.
sun993 • Hangzhou • 2024-11-06 10:25 I just tried adding + to search it out.
xy • Hengyang • 2024-11-06 10:32 I just tried your method, adding a + sign in the middle of the keyword, and finally found my natural position. I haven't seen the natural position for more than a week since the 29th. I am crying.
milkfans • Hangzhou • 2024-11-06 11:41 It really needs + to show up, but buyers won’t search like that. Is Amazon really messing up?
Taylon • Shenzhen • 3 days ago Last month, the Canadian site encountered the same situation. The organic ranking of the main promotion keyword disappeared. When it ran to another ad, there was no variation. There was really no choice but to separate the main promotion. It took two or three days for the organic ranking of the main keyword to recover.
sun993 • Hangzhou • 3 days ago @Taylon: After the split is restored, can it be merged back in? In my case, the organic ranking of the big word disappeared, and then it did not rise to other variants.
Taylon • Shenzhen • 3 days ago @sun993: No merger, not the same product, afraid of being caught violating the variant regulations
chenchunli • Shenzhen • 2 days ago Can I recover it by opening a case? I have lost the natural ranking of many keywords. The big keywords are replaced by other variants with poor sales conversion when searched. I don’t know how to solve it. My sales and ranking have been declining.
Anonymous user Agree from: Rabbit falls in love with cat I asked the account manager and he replied as follows: At the end of October, a large number of sellers on the US site reported that their ASIN rankings disappeared or were replaced by poorly performing products in natural searches, mainly affecting products that were originally ranked high. The troubleshooting tool showed that these products "cannot be searched", and a large number of related cases have been reported to the search upgrade team.
【Early Findings】 1. The Search team confirmed that this was caused by the Early Dubious ASIN Management system that was launched on October 28. When a product has a suspicious ranking, a low brand score, and sufficient product selection in the category, the system will automatically lower its ranking. 2. Objectively, the original intention of EDAM design is to reduce the ranking of suspicious products rather than completely block them. Due to the limitations of the diagnostic tool, sellers mistakenly believe that the search ranking has completely disappeared. There are two misunderstandings and underlying reasons: a) The search diagnostic tool only covers search results within a certain range. If it exceeds this range, it will show no search results, but in fact it is just ranked lower; b) Using more precise long-tail keywords can still find related products. For example, a product has no search results in the broad word 'apple watch band', but it will be ranked higher when using 'apple watch band nylon stretchy'. 3. This incident caused a serious decline in the number of orders for some top links. According to SAS team quip statistics, the impact involved 280+ ASINs, and the estimated GMS loss was about 20MM USD. It coincided with the peak season, and a large number of sellers had sufficient product inventory but suffered a drop in ranking, causing panic. 4. As per finding, Early Dubious ASIN Management is also being piloted in EU and may be launched in EU later.

zhang7661 Agree from: Honghongzhu, JamYaung, Zhang Zhiming123 The solution I saw in the group, you can try: We open an English case through brand case: brand technical support. Before opening, use third-party software to check the original natural location. Then open the case,
The general words: I xxxasin the xxx keyword natural position is on the homepage, today it suddenly lost. Please help refresh my link and restore the keyword natural position (open English case), wait for the reply saying that it has been refreshed. Then query whether the natural position display is restored. If not, continue to open the refresh link in the background normal case path: open one by one - just confirm that your keyword appears in the system's 1089 vocabulary, after the above two steps, open cese and refresh the natural position to restore. sun993 • Hangzhou • 3 days ago Open a case in brand technical support, and get a reply telling you to open a case in Seller Central
VAEWEI • Zhongshan • 3 days ago @sun993: Yes, I am the same. I also received a message saying that the keyword is in a certain position, but I still can’t find it when I search for it myself.
Lengfeng112 • Shenzhen • 1 day ago I opened it, and the customer service directly said that the keywords needed to be further refined, so they directly deleted my two big words.
milkfans - Paddling without oars Agree with: Beneme, Mumu Daxia, The Kite Runner This is really adding insult to injury. I just had my product removed from the shelves 5 days ago due to a complaint from a buyer. It hasn’t been restored for a week yet, and then I have no natural position.
Anonymous user Agree with: JamYaung We were allocated the traffic, right? There was no operation or adjustment during the period. Suddenly, on November 1st, the natural traffic of a word increased, and the product was sold out.

Warden I have also read a lot, but many sellers do not mention the premise of their links. Have they received product complaints? Have they violated the rules too many times? They do not mention any of these. If the above situation occurs, it is normal for Amazon to reduce the weight. Open Society • Shenzhen • 2024-11-06 14:46 The premise should be that there are no illegal operations as you said ~ Suddenly, all the natural positions are gone. I have encountered many of them in the forum these days.
Warden • Shenzhen • 2024-11-06 14:49 @Open Society: If there are no complaints or violations, it is likely that Amazon is going to change its algorithm. Find some links with decent sales to test the waters.
Anonymous user Agree from: JuliaWong, Xiong Lele, Beneme I have a question. I see that most of the traffic is lost due to keyword ranking loss. Who gets the lost traffic? Is there any case of keyword traffic surge, or ASIN traffic loss under the keyword? What is the result of checking the traffic of several ASINs near the keyword ranking?
Anonymous user I found out that it is useless to be anxious. I can only wait for Amazon to adjust itself. I am afraid that after a lot of operations, it will adjust itself again.
