We are in the auto parts business. In previous years, this period was actually in an upward phase, and it was not until the end of October that we began to decline.

The order volume has dropped by 30-50% (based on the average sales of last month). I thought it was a problem with our operation. I asked the operation department and they said no adjustments were made. I also asked other competitors and they all saw a sharp drop in Amazon orders. Some good ones were able to control the shrinkage rate to 30%, and one competitor's order shrank by more than 60% on the same day. The problem is that many competitors had their accounts swept (video review) some time ago, and they could have freed up some market share. It's unbelievable that the orders are not only not increasing, but they are actually falling?

After all, I have been working on Amazon for a long time, and this year is the weirdest. According to common sense, this decline means that at least 3/1 of the orders in the Amazon auto parts market have been lost in the past month. We think it has been unstable since August 15 (the average was 4,000 US dollars/day before, and there was a reasonable fluctuation of 400-600 US dollars).

From August 15th to September 15th, the price started to fluctuate unreasonably from US$4,500 per day to US$3,000 per day.
From September 15th till now, it has started to fall all the way and now it has reached over 2,000 US dollars, which is unbelievable.
 
Is there any policy recently, or is it caused by Amazon adjusting the system?

ps: We make special parts and there is no monopoly by Damai. There are only a few friendly competitors in the market and we all know each other. The orders are neither from them nor from us. It feels like they have evaporated into thin air.

My friend has several eBay stores, and the sales of the eBay stores have not fluctuated, neither increasing nor decreasing. It should not be due to a decrease in market demand, but rather that there are no orders on Amazon.

The internal factor may be that the platform had a big autumn promotion before, and some customers postponed their purchase needs and waited until the big promotion to buy.


The external factor may be the traffic competition between platforms. Platforms such as TEMU and TK are also trying their best to compete with Amazon. The impact of diversion is certain and will become larger and larger. Of course, this is very superficial and is only for discussion. As for the interest rate hike, this is aimed at higher countries, finance, and industry levels. The impact on specific e-commerce and store levels will not be transmitted so quickly.
