Recently, news has come out from the European and Japanese stations that the registration for this year's Primeday LD event is about to end!

The announcement shows that the Prime Day Lightning Deals submission window will be closed on April 23 (Europe and Japan will both end on the 23rd) . Sellers need to report LD activities before the closure, and they will no longer be open after the closure.


Sellers who want to participate in the Prime Day LD event can simply check if there is a system recommendation on the page for creating a flash sale, and then select [Prime Day week] for the flash sale time period. When scheduling, time periods will be allocated based on the seller's product performance, and products with good rankings and sales will be scheduled to the LD on Prime Day.


We have talked about the effect of same-day LD many times before. The effect of same-day LD is very strong. As long as the product inventory keeps up, it is not a problem to increase the order tenfold in one day. However, the time slot on Prime Day is very precious. Some sellers would rather cancel the event than participate in non-same-day LD. After all, the LD fee during Prime Day is doubled . If the effect of non-same-day LD is not good, it is better to do free activities. So I suggest that sellers who have recommended positions and good sales can sign up for this member day LD to try, and they can cancel if the schedule is not good.

At the same time, sellers can also apply for two free activities, exclusive discounts and member day coupons for their products. If they are not scheduled for LD on that day, small sellers can use these two activities to take advantage of the large traffic of Prime Day.


This year, the registration period for Prime Day coupons is from March 8 to May 28. Here is the logic of setting up Primeday Coupons. If I want to make the coupon effective during both the Prime Day warm-up period and Prime Day (that is, the first option), I need to set up a normal coupon and fill in the effective time from August 26 to August 27. If you want it to be effective only on Prime Day, fill in the effective time from August 30 to August 31.


After filling in the effective date, once the specific time of Primeday is determined, Amazon will automatically adjust these coupons to take effect in the corresponding time period.

Setting up Prime exclusive discounts is relatively simple. Just check the box in the red box when creating a Prime exclusive discount, and Amazon will automatically match the start and end times. You can sign up from two weeks before the start of the registration period.


As for the specific start date, the information revealed by various media is very polarized. Some say it will be advanced to June, while others say it will be postponed to August or September. At the same time, there is also speculation that Amazon may hold two Prime Days this year!


The possibility of two Prime Days a year


According to foreign media speculation, Amazon executives are currently considering holding a Prime Day in late June and at the end of the third quarter. The purpose of moving it forward to June is to revive Q2 performance.

Market research shows that Amazon's overall sales performance in Q2 was relatively flat. In addition, this summer is expected to be a turning point for the epidemic in the United States. Consumption and travel will see substantial growth in Q2. Moving Primeday forward to June will greatly boost Amazon's sales expectations.


And Amazon postponed Prime Day to October last year. Facts have proved that this decision was not a bad one. Last year's Prime Day still became the biggest promotional festival with the highest sales in Amazon's history . It was not only Amazon's own sales, but also the two trading days with the largest sales for third-party sellers.


Therefore, Amazon executives are discussing the possibility of holding two Prime Days, at the end of June and at the end of Q3. Multiple sources have confirmed this. Amazon may give the new shopping festival in Q3 a different name and launch it online.

There is not much definite evidence for this news, and Amazon has not come out to explain. If Amazon really wants to hold another big promotion in Q3, it will definitely notify sellers in advance (possibly after Prime Day). At that time, we will also analyze how to participate based on the specific content of the new event.
