How popular is short video shopping? Google launches video shopping platform Shoploop

According to foreign media reports, Google recently announced the launch of a video shopping platform called " Shoploop ", where consumers can learn about new products within 90 seconds.


It is understood that Shoploop is a project of Area 120, Google's internal R&D department, where new ideas are tested with the public user group. Its initiator Poojary previously said that the reason for launching the project is that more and more consumers are tending to combine social platforms and shopping platforms for consumption. For example, after repeatedly browsing product reviews or recommendations on Instagram or YouTube and being successfully planted, consumers will open the shopping platform to place an order for the same product.


The Shoploop team said that in order to provide users with an interactive shopping experience, it will start with categories such as makeup, skin care, and nails , and cooperate with store owners in the market to provide services for the application content.


Currently, video shopping has triggered a shopping craze around the world, and major social platforms and e-commerce platforms are eager to enter the market to occupy market share. It is understood that Instagram, a social application under Facebook, also announced that it would launch a shopping function in the United States on Thursday.


Instagram said it will launch a new feature called Instagram Shop in the U.S. on Thursday , which will allow users to browse and buy products from brands and creators directly in the app. The feature will also be released to users around the world in the coming weeks.


In addition, in the coming weeks, Instagram will also support Facebook Pay , allowing users to pay directly in the app, which is also in line with Facebook's goal of integrating payment services across all its apps.
