Launched in January 2010 , RocketHub is based on a popular crowdfunding model among DIY artists who leverage their own communities to fund their projects. Our goal was to build a company that could add infrastructure and credibility to this new crowdfunding model and bring it to emerging markets such as the startup and academic markets.

Platform fees: 4% of the total financing amount and 4% transaction fee;

Suitable for: small businesses, start-ups, artists, scientists, social projects, etc.

Successful experience of crowdfunding

1. The entrepreneurial story is moving and clear. One of the reasons why the public is willing to invest is because the entrepreneur’s story can move the public, so entrepreneurs need to express their entrepreneurial ideas and the significance of entrepreneurship very clearly.

2. Use existing social networks. The crowdfunding process relies on trust and reputation, so there needs to be a core internal group to help entrepreneurs ensure success and promote it.

3. Provide special returns on investment. In exchange for investment, entrepreneurs need to provide investors with returns ; the returns can be product samples, voting rights on product design plans, or the opportunity to obtain products or services in advance before officially entering the market.

Development History

In May 2015 , RocketHub was acquired by EFactor, the world's largest entrepreneur community, for $ 15 million.
