OZON registered stores are exempt from face scanning authentication If new sellers already have a LianLian business account and bind it to an Ozon account, they do not need facial authentication. LianLian provides Ozon with the relevant information, so facial recognition is not required. Now it takes time to review and approve a store, which usually takes about 3 days. Previously, Russia's e-commerce development did not have a complete e-commerce development system like our country, and needed to be optimized and upgraded frequently. If authentication was required after the system upgrade, the only way to control it was to authenticate through the information on the business license, such as real-name authentication of the legal person, or facial recognition of the legal person. The cancellation of face scanning authentication for registered stores on Ozon not only lowers the threshold for registered stores on Ozon, but also means that buying and selling stores has become easier. The $1,000 limit on repayments has not been lifted As mentioned before, Ozon's payment cycle is once a month, and the settlement threshold is 1,000 USD or more to start payment, and 1,000 USD can be accumulated before payment can be made. Because Ozon is a manual payment service, the workload is relatively large compared to machines, so there is a settlement threshold. It was previously speculated that this threshold will be removed in a while. In addition, there has been a lot of controversy online recently, with rumors that the 1,000 USD threshold has been removed. In fact, it has not been removed, at least not yet. There are several payment statuses: Generating The payment bill is ready, but the bank has not yet confirmed the bill or has rejected it. If the payment deadline has passed and the status has not changed, please contact customer service. “Waiting for payment” We have added the bill to the payment schedule and will transfer the funds on the scheduled date. “Paid” We have transferred the funds. If the funds have not been received for a long time, please contact your bank. Notice on Russian customs clearance tax limit The Russian government has made a decision that from April 1, Russian citizens’ tax-free amount for cross-border shopping will not exceed 200 euros ! The amount exceeding this amount will be subject to a 15% tariff + 500 ruble handling fee. For example, if the tax-free amount is 300 euros, then the extra 100 euros*15%=15 euros, 15 euros + 500 rubles in handling fees. Please also note that the current tax rules are tentative. If the Russian government does not issue new tax regulations before April 1, then they will be implemented according to these rules. This policy is quite troublesome for sellers with high average order value, and there may be two solutions. After the buyer places an order, contact the seller and communicate with the buyer that the product exceeds the tax-free amount and a certain amount of customs duty needs to be paid before receiving the package. Or add information about tax-free restrictions in the product description, and clearly state that you will need to pay a certain percentage of tax if you purchase this product. Adjustment of order lead time The platform issued a notice to change the platform's stocking time, which will shorten the order preparation time to a maximum of 5 days from April 4th. Shortening order preparation time will reduce the delivery time of goods displayed on the front desk, thereby increasing the attractiveness of cross-border goods on the Ozon platform to Russian consumers. During the 5-day preparation period, the seller must deliver the package to the logistics carrier's warehouse and confirm that the logistics carrier has accepted the package and completed the information update, otherwise it will be regarded as overdue shipment. From the perspective of the platform operator, the various rule updates of the Ozon platform are aimed at better improving consumers' shopping experience and optimizing the operation of the platform. Of course, the update of the rules may also increase the operational difficulty of store operators, forcing sellers to move towards more refined operations. The platform traffic distribution rules will also be readjusted. Seller teams with strong operational capabilities can obtain more traffic opportunities, while sellers who simply rely on piling up products and relying on luck will find it increasingly difficult to obtain orders. Of course, recently, some sellers have had their stores frozen for violating platform rules. Such blocked stores will receive a notification and need to have an online meeting with the internal quality manager of Ozon . After the meeting, the manager will decide whether to unlock the store. With the deepening of economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia, the two countries have also made many welfare policies for the cross-border e-commerce industry. For example, Chinese sellers can establish virtual overseas warehouses in Russia and enjoy certain tax exemptions. After a successful transaction on the cross-border platform, China and Russia provide local Russian logistics orders, which also display local Russian logistics information, but in fact it is domestic delivery. In other words, Chinese sellers only need to have warehousing in China and do not need to ship the goods to Russia in advance, reducing overseas warehousing costs. The increase in the operating threshold of the Ozon platform also means that a group of casual sellers will gradually be eliminated.
