Dark Season: My brother-in-law deleted comments and banned accounts, even A+ was not spared!

Dark Season: My brother-in-law deleted comments and banned accounts, even A+ was not spared!

The peak season is still here, but many sellers report that this peak season is a bit difficult...

Amazon sellers have been having a hard time recently. The overall market environment is constantly changing, and Amazon is also making various adjustments to match the changes in the market. However, the increasingly stringent policies have made it difficult for sellers. The most uncomfortable thing is that compared with previous years, the order volume in November this year has not increased but decreased, and sellers seem to have just experienced a fake peak season.

All accounts have not seen any improvement since November compared to October, and have remained basically the same, or even lower than the same period in October.

In previous years, the order volume would slowly increase around November 4th. However, half a month later, the transaction volume dropped by 50% compared with the same day in November of previous years.

The orders didn’t explode, but the advertisements did!

The number of ad clicks increased significantly, but the number of orders decreased, so the conversion rate was terrible.

Sellers are complaining on the forum about the drop in orders during this peak season, while my brother-in-law is frantically suppressing various behaviors of sellers.

1

Large-scale deletion of comments and banning of accounts

Following the pattern of previous years, Amazon will carry out a major cleanup before the peak season every year.

Recently, many sellers reported that my brother-in-law has started deleting reviews again!

25 reviews were deleted overnight. It was the first time I encountered a small European site. I was trembling...

For a new product, 6 out of 10 reviews were deleted overnight. I was so moved.

Even the comments left by nature were deleted!

Sellers may be used to deleting reviews, limiting reviews, etc. However, when a seller receives an email about illegal account suspension during the peak season, it is really unbearable for the sellers.

Recently, a seller received an email stating that his account was blocked due to illegal operations. The seller had just launched a new product and wanted to quickly promote it during the peak season, so he asked a service provider to place more than 20 orders. Unexpectedly, Amazon found out about it not long after, and directly blocked his account, missing the peak season perfectly...

Regarding the issue of fake orders, I have mentioned it many times. My brother-in-law likes to settle accounts after the event, and he prefers to settle accounts before the peak season, so don't violate the rules during the peak season. If you are unlucky, you may be caught.

In addition, please do not put review request cards in the product. Amazon has already banned review request cards in the background to induce buyers to leave reviews. Therefore, it is recommended that sellers use the new "Request a Review" function in the background, after all, it is officially allowed. However, you should be cautious when using it, and choose products with reliable quality to request reviews, otherwise it is very likely to invite bad reviews.

2

US site A+ was cleared

In addition to attacking the Review, my brother-in-law actually reached out to the A+ page!

As we all know, Amazon A+ pages are graphic and text version of product details pages, through which you can use additional pictures and text to further improve the product description part. This feature is only available to sellers who have passed Amazon's Brand Registry.

However, a seller in the seller group reported that his recent A+ page was cleared by his brother-in-law! However, this was A+ obtained through a service provider, and the seller's brand registration had not yet been approved. In order to achieve good performance on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, he found a service provider, but he did not expect that it was cleared by his brother-in-law!

According to sellers in the group, 80% of the non-branded A+ ones have been deleted, and they will continue to be deleted even if they find service providers to replace them!

It is speculated that my brother-in-law has begun to restrict the permissions of VC accounts and is also strictly enforcing various black technology services. I think Amazon is now getting more and more familiar with the routines of Chinese sellers, and my brother-in-law is determined to plug all kinds of black technology "loopholes".

All I can say is that during the peak season, Amazon has implemented strict risk control mechanisms, so sellers are advised not to violate regulations to avoid being caught off guard by account suspension.

In addition, I have compiled three common pitfalls during the peak season for everyone. Sellers must not make the mistake!

3

3 pitfalls during peak season

1. Coupon stacking

Black Friday flash sales sellers will set up various promotional discount codes, so be sure to be careful about the possible discount overlap between different discount codes.

Common types of promotional overlays include:

1. Superposition of different types of discount codes (taking priority and unlimited discount codes as examples)

Priority discount codes can be combined with discounts without discount codes;

Only one priority promotional code can be used at most. If the seller creates multiple priority promotional codes, the system will automatically assign the buyer the one with the highest discount.

In the same order, buyers can use multiple unlimited discount codes at the same time;

Unlimited discount codes can be combined with discounts without discount codes;

2. Superposition of various deals and coupons

For example, Lightning Deals or Amazon’s various deals that can be displayed directly on the product details page may overlap with Coupons.

Therefore, before the flash sale, sellers must first check the background promotion settings, flash sale and coupon settings to avoid unnecessary losses.

2. Qualification for the flash sale is cancelled

If the price of a listing that has been registered for a flash sale is adjusted, it may be disqualified from the flash sale.

Therefore, for listings that have already been registered for flash sales, it is important to avoid adjusting prices before the event begins, so as to avoid missing out on the opportunity to generate huge sales.

3. Setting the advertising budget too low

During Black Friday, the CPC on the site can bring huge traffic, so the advertising costs may double compared to usual.

At this time, if the advertising budget is set too low, it is easy to stop advertising when the advertising costs are exhausted. Therefore, sellers should adjust the budget reasonably according to the product situation. After all, Black Friday only happens once a year, so don’t give traffic to competitors for nothing.

In addition, the bidding price of advertisements can also be increased appropriately. During the peak season, competitors may secretly raise their bidding prices. Therefore, remember to check the bidding range and advertising position of ASIN and make timely adjustments!
