Amazon removes more than a dozen products

Amazon has removed more than a dozen skin-lightening products from its website that contain dangerous levels of mercury after public health and environmental activists in Minnesota sent the company a petition with more than 23,000 signatures,media reported.


Amazon also responded, saying: "All marketplace third-party sellers must comply with Amazon's selling guidelines. If they do not, sellers will be subject to severe penalties, including possible deletion of their accounts and a statement that the products in question are no longer available for sale."



Lazada platform was found to be selling a variety of banned products


Some consumers said that when they were shopping online, they found a number of dangerous and violent toy products on the Lazada platform, including arrows made of iron materials. These toys have a long range and fly at a high speed, posing a great safety hazard. The price of each product starts from 200,000 Vietnamese dong (about 59 yuan).


In addition, the prohibited products include: toys shaped like rifles or shotguns; guns that spray water, emit light or explode; lighters shaped like grenades or pistols; swords made of wood, bamboo, plastic, compressed paper, etc.

Kantar&Google released the "2019 China Cross-border E-commerce Opportunities and Growth Report", which showed that sales of apparel products increased by 52% compared with the previous year, while sales of electronic products only increased by 3%.
