The first round of account bans in 2020! This time, the reason is...

At the beginning of 2020, many sellers’ accounts were directly blocked.



A large number of seller accounts were blocked



Recently, a European seller reported that the Spanish site was closed on October 17, 2019 due to account association issues, and the French and German sites were also closed one after another. The Spanish seller initially denied the association, and the first appeal was unsuccessful. When he appealed for the second time, he directly received an email saying "According to Article 3 of the Amazon Enterprise Solutions Agreement, your Amazon seller account has been deactivated."

Coincidentally, there are sellers on the Japanese site who have encountered the same situation, all of which violated "Article 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement."  

 

 


In addition, many sellers had their accounts deactivated because they failed the second review of their new accounts. The reason was that they received the above email, which violated "Section 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement."

 

Whether the account is blocked due to association or the account is deactivated due to failure in the second review, the reason points to Article 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement.



The culprit is actually Article 3



What exactly is Article 3, that can directly block the associated and second-instance accounts?


Xiaozhi found out that the content of Article 3 is as follows:



We have the right to terminate your use of any service or this Agreement for convenience after 30 days' prior notice. We may immediately suspend or terminate your use of any service if we find any of the following circumstances:

(a) you materially breach this Agreement and fail to remedy the breach within 7 days of receiving the Notice to Cure, unless your breach causes us to be liable to a third party (if your breach causes us to be liable to a third party, we may reasonably determine at our sole discretion to reduce or cancel this Cure Period);

(b) Your account is detected or we identify that your account may be used for fraudulent, false or illegal activities;

(c) Your use of the Services is detrimental to, or we identify that your use of the Services may be detrimental to, the legitimate interests of other sellers, customers, or Amazon. We will immediately notify you of any such termination or suspension by email or other similar means, including through Seller Central, and inform you of the reasons and any means of appeal, unless we reasonably believe that providing this information will hinder an investigation into fraudulent, false, or illegal activities or will enable you to circumvent our protection mechanisms.


I read this agreement for a long time but still didn't understand it, but I grasped the key point that my brother-in-law wanted to say : " We can notify you to immediately terminate or suspend this agreement at any time for any reason ." This means that as long as my brother-in-law is in a bad mood, he can block your account at any time without any reason!


This is obviously an unfair clause. This operation is really amazing. Now you know why Amazon has blocked your associated and second-instance accounts.




What should sellers do?


For those who are blocked due to account association, of course, you need to write an appeal email , and the seller must cooperate to provide relevant information to prove that there is no association between their accounts. Generally speaking, Amazon will send 3 emails, which are directly related to whether your account can be revived, so every email must be written carefully.


For those new accounts that are blocked due to the second review, they can appeal back according to the following requirements under normal circumstances if the review is triggered, but it is not guaranteed that every seller can appeal back. Here, Xiaozhi shares several ways to pass the second review :



Method 1: Submit a reliable water, electricity, and gas bill + business license of the business license address in the seller's backend. (If there are sellers who do not have bills, they can submit the lease contract and the landlord's water, electricity, and gas bills. Submitting bills for three consecutive months can pass the submission. )

Method 2: Business license + water/electricity/broadband fee invoice in the name of the company (Note: this method requires an invoice, not a bill)

Telecom does not issue invoices in the name of the company, but only in the name of the person? -- When you apply for broadband, you can register the broadband in the name of the company and get an invoice in the name of the company.

Is the company address too long to be typed completely? -- Request the telecom company to type it completely. The invoice address must be consistent with the business license address, without any mistakes.

Ask someone to issue a fake invoice for you? — The QR code won’t pass.

Is it okay if the invoice date is after the account is suspended? — Yes

Most of these accounts that were reviewed for the second time were registered using false information. As the number of sellers on the platform increased, Amazon, in order to regulate the qualifications of sellers, eliminated these informal accounts through a second review.
