13 service providers were arrested for purchasing a large amount of personal information and selling Amazon stores

In order to quickly and massively supply accounts, some service providers began to operate illegally, purchasing large amounts of personal information and registering and selling stores , leading to the arrest of a criminal gang.

Some time ago, Henan TV's People's Livelihood Channel reported a news story: Henan police destroyed a den that illegally acquired individual citizens' personal information and business licenses. The company used this information to register Amazon stores and then sold the stores to others .

These illegal service providers will buy some identity information and business licenses through various channels. If you only provide ID card information, the price is generally around 500-600 yuan; if you register a business license using identity information and provide it to them together with the ID card information, the reward is basically 1,000 yuan .

They use the identity information and business licenses they have acquired to register Amazon stores on the Amazon platform. After the store is successfully registered, they sell it to cross-border sellers in need at a price ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 yuan .

In less than two months, this criminal gang made a profit of more than 350,000 yuan through illegal transactions using the above process !

So far, 13 suspects have been detained for the crimes of buying and selling state official seals and infringing citizens' personal information . It is reported that the investigation of the case has been completed and the procuratorate has approved the arrest, recommending a sentence of 3 years and confiscation of illegal gains.

This is not the first case. Last December, Suining, Jiangsu also destroyed such a criminal group, arrested 17 suspects, seized more than 5 million pieces of Amazon buyer information, and the amount involved was nearly 10 million yuan . The 12 main suspects involved in the case were prosecuted.

It is not clear whether Amazon has any official involvement behind this incident, but the recent frequent store postcard verifications are likely to be affected by this incident . Amazon is very likely to have obtained the business licenses or store records sold by the number dealers investigated by the police through some channel, and launched KYC audits to verify the authenticity of these stores.

If you are unlucky enough to buy a store that has purchased numbers registered in bulk from a dealer, in addition to the possibility that KYC may not be verified, there are many hidden dangers .

About two months ago, Amazon video authentication broke out. The platform reminded that in order to verify the seller's identity, the seller must make an appointment for a real-time video call, show the original ID and company business license during the video, and make an appointment within 7 days of receiving the email, otherwise the identity verification will fail and the account will be unable to continue selling.

For purchased accounts, receiving video verification is like sending yourself a song of coldness. Some sellers don’t even dare to ship the goods.

The video verification promoted by the platform has resulted in many non-compliant sellers being punished . One seller had about 100 accounts in total. Because of the triggering of the video verification, 30 accounts were suspended on the first day, and more than 60 accounts were suspended the next day. In the end, a total of 90 accounts were suspended. This wave of damage was really high!

There was also an account purchased by a seller, but because the legal representative could not be contacted during the video verification, it failed and the account with 350,000 inventory was suspended.

The bloody cases of sellers show that the purchased accounts are extremely high-risk and basically fail when encountering video verification . The service providers can do nothing about it and many of them do not accept such business.

Moreover, the number of Amazon account registrations has exploded this year. Amazon has no shortage of new stores this year , and investment managers don’t have to rush to find people to register stores. Even applications for registration as investment managers may not receive any contact.

Precisely because there are so many stores, Amazon’s recent store audits will definitely be more stringent than in previous years , and the number of stores affected will be much greater than before.

Illegal operations such as fake orders and multiple accounts are strictly prohibited by Amazon . Even big sellers such as Aokia and Paton will be removed for crossing the platform's red line. This wave of affected sellers can prove their authenticity and pass the KYC audit. If they fail, they will have to close their stores.

There are very few real second-hand stores now. Many of them are registered in batches by account merchants, and the information they use is purchased through illegal channels. If they are audited, they can only blame themselves for their bad luck.
