Customs strictly checks! Many freight forwarders urgently suspend receiving all epidemic prevention products!

The General Administration of Customs issued Announcement No. 53 on April 10, deciding to implement export commodity inspection on medical masks, medical protective clothing and other medical supplies that are directly used for anti-epidemic medical treatment and are closely related to human health and safety.

Since the release of Announcement No. 53, the customs has stepped up efforts to strictly investigate illegal incidents such as concealment, misreporting, false reporting, omissions, and misreporting of export of epidemic prevention items. Manual inspection and release of customs declarations takes a long time, and orders are returned due to incomplete qualifications, basically achieving 100% inspection.

According to an announcement issued by a freight forwarder: Due to the customs' escalated strict inspection of epidemic prevention materials, all channels will suspend all medical epidemic prevention materials from now on. Civilian materials that meet the requirements can be arranged, but the timeliness will also be affected. The transit timeliness of the delivered epidemic prevention materials will be delayed.

Whether it is medical or civilian epidemic prevention products, they have received the same treatment in the customs inspection. The editor learned from the freight forwarder that disposable civilian masks for export will not be accepted without the red label certificate stamped by the manufacturer!

On April 18, eBay reiterated its policies regarding epidemic prevention products. Sellers on the platform can sell epidemic prevention products, but they need to meet the corresponding conditions. Otherwise, violations will be punished by forced removal from the shelves, transaction restrictions, quota restrictions, account freezing, etc.!

1. You need to be invited by the platform to sell epidemic prevention materials

Only enterprise-level sellers invited by eBay to join the platform can list products in designated epidemic-related categories. If an invited enterprise-level seller lists in the wrong category, it will be deemed that it does not meet the platform's service standards (uninvited sellers cannot sell epidemic prevention products, otherwise it will be considered an illegal listing).

2. For direct mail delivery, use an approved service provider

For all direct mail shipments (the location of the item is not a local overseas warehouse), you must use eBay-approved cross-border logistics service providers, such as Orange Union, DHL, Fedex, UPS, China Post, Hong Kong Post, Chunghwa Post, etc., and complete A-Scan within the promised processing time. 3. For overseas warehouse shipments, you must use an approved overseas warehouse

For overseas warehouse shipments (the location of the item is a local overseas warehouse), you must use eBay-approved overseas warehouse service providers Winit or Goodcang or 4PX for overseas warehouse shipments and complete A-Scan within the promised processing time. Compared with the last notice, the increase in overseas warehouse service providers that can support shipments is also excellent news!

4. Publication must be compliant and law-abiding

All listings must strictly comply with the laws and regulations of the place where the items are sold and the policies of various eBay platforms, including but not limited to: price gouging policy, overseas warehouse service standard management policy. The main purpose is to prevent price gouging and crack down on virtual overseas warehouses.

5. Check the platform policies and make timely adjustments

Sellers are obliged to read and understand all policies of the eBay platform and understand the categories that are restricted from sale on each eBay platform.

For some categories that are restricted from sale on the eBay platform, sellers are still not allowed to sell even if they meet the logistics services required by the platform.

Sellers who are allowed by eBay to list items in designated categories still need to comply with the logistics service policy requirements of the eBay platform.

Sellers should further understand that listings that do not appear in eBay's designated epidemic-related item category catalog cannot be deemed to be sold without any restrictions.
