After Amazon and Walmart limited purchases of COVID tests, Americans turned to Instagram and Facebook to buy them!

It is learned that according to statistics released by Johns Hopkins University in the United States, the average daily number of newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States in the past week ending January 5 was as high as 553,000, the highest record since the outbreak.

It is reported that Amazon and Walmart have restricted the purchase quantity of home COVID test kits, which has caused overcrowding in offline pharmacies and testing centers in the United States. However, many people have given up on buying and testing because of the long waiting time, and are very dissatisfied with Amazon and Walmart's move to restrict purchases and increase product prices.

It is reported that after failing to purchase testing reagents , Americans began to turn to social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to make purchases.

It is reported that a seller recently posted a post on Instagram selling test kits, which quickly attracted the attention of Americans, and many people bought a large number of test kits from the seller. The seller's post on Instagram said that each test kit costs $20, plus a $5 delivery fee.

In addition, one seller bought 100 COVID test kits from his friend (who runs a health care company) and started selling them on Facebook and Instagram. He sold 25 of them that evening.

It is learned that due to the current severe epidemic situation in the United States, "a dose is hard to come by." American experts said that it is not illegal to resell COVID test kits in small quantities without adding a price, and it is not illegal to buy these products, but it is necessary to ensure the security of the transaction to avoid being deceived.
