Amazon extends French warehouse closures

Amazon said on Sunday it would extend the closure of six French warehouses until at least April 22.

Last week, a French court reportedly ordered the company to deliver only basic necessities such as groceries and medicine and conduct thorough safety checks to reduce the risk of the spread of the epidemic.

Subsequently, Amazon temporarily closed six warehouses in the country, saying that the definition of so-called daily necessities was unclear and the company could not risk being punished to continue operating. In addition, the company also said it had appealed to the court.
