CPSC recalls over 39,000 hair dryers! Available on TikTok Shop and other platforms

It is learned that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced the recall of Focusee's Tideway high-speed hair dryer due to the risk of electric shock.

It is understood that the recalled product is the Tideway high-speed hair dryer PRO M01. The product is equipped with a white nozzle, the bottom of the handle is gold, and the word "Tideway" is printed on the front. The product has two speeds and four temperature adjustment gears, and the LED light ring on the hair dryer corresponds to the different temperature settings.

Between November 2023 and March 2024, about 39,600 units of the product were sold on platforms such as TikTokShop and Shopify, with a price of about $170. The CPSC said that the product lacks a water immersion protection device and may cause electric shock or electrocution to consumers if it falls into water while powered on. At present, no injury reports related to this product have been received.

CPSC said consumers should immediately stop using the recalled hair dryers and contact Tideway Shop for a free replacement. Consumers should cut the power cord and dispose of it according to local and state recycling laws, then send a picture of the product destruction to Tideway Shop to replace the hair dryer with a immersion protection device.
