Development

In September 2018, Bukalapak announced that BukaDana, a new e-wallet service developed in cooperation with Dana, was officially launched.

In August 2019, third-party market research companies iPriceGroup and AppAnnie recently released the Indonesian e-wallet rankings for the second quarter of 2019. In terms of monthly active users, DANA has surpassed LinkAja and ranked third among Indonesian e-wallets, second only to GoPay and OVO.

In November 2019, the open platform mobile application was officially released.

In February 2020, DANA e-wallet became a payment method for Apple services in Indonesia.
