【Background Operation】Write a good title for your product

A good title is one of the keys for buyers to find your product, so your title should be as precise as possible.

Mercado Libre title suggestions:

• Title structure: product name + brand + model + technical specifications and features + additional instructions

• Use spaces to separate words, and do not use punctuation or symbols.

• Length: 150 characters for English titles, 60 characters for Portuguese/Spanish titles

• Avoid including information about other services in the title, such as returns, free shipping, or installment payments. The platform will add this information to the listing so that buyers can see it before clicking on the listing.

• If you sell the same product but in multiple colors, avoid labeling it in the title. It’s better to create variations so that everything is in one ad .

• If you only have one color in stock, add the quantity to the corresponding variation when advertising or modifying

• If you offer any discounts, we will highlight this in your ad and indicate the percentage of the discount.

• Check to make sure there are no spelling errors

Keep in mind that you can upload titles in English and the CBT backend will automatically translate and convert the content into your local language. However, if you have titles in Spanish or Portuguese, we strongly recommend that you use them. This will definitely give you a higher accuracy than the automatically translated content.
