Twitter launches new shopping guide module to revive social e-commerce business

It is learned that Twitter is launching a new feature module "Shop Module" recently, which can help brands, businesses and other retailers display products to Twitter users directly on their corporate profiles. Users can scroll through the product pictures in the module and click to buy.

The module will appear at the top of Twitter profiles and will be viewable in English on iOS devices for US users.

It is reported that only certified companies can use this feature. Successfully certified companies, non-profit organizations, publishers and creators can display their business information directly on their personal profiles. In essence, it is equivalent to the corporate version of Facebook homepage on Twitter.

It is understood that because the new module is still in the initial stage of testing, it is only available to a small number of pilot testers. Twitter said that currently only about 10 brands in the United States can try out this feature.
