"I registered this old account for the North American site in 2019. I checked the company internally and found no clues about this unfamiliar account."
"I also recently received a notification that a strange account was linked to me. I registered my own information and operated it legally, but it was linked to me for no reason."

At the same time, the reasons for Amazon's decision on this large-scale related liquidation have also aroused heated discussions among sellers.
 
Summarizing the possible factors mentioned by sellers for being judged as related:

  • Logistics information association. The "by tsfc" mentioned in the email was considered by the service provider to be logistics information association. Some sellers pointed out that they were overseas warehouse associations and wrote no less than 20 POAs to save their accounts.
  • Operation habit association. The last line of the picture received by the seller says FP. However, since it is associated with an unfamiliar account, the possibility of this factor is small.
  • New type of relationship. A seller consulted the investment manager and received a reply that the liquidation was judged to be a new type of artificial intelligence relationship.

 
In addition, since Amazon's large-scale associated liquidation was carried out at the same time, and a large number of sellers were associated with unfamiliar accounts, most sellers speculated that the Amazon system had misjudged the association on a large scale .
 
At present, it is still unclear what caused Amazon's large-scale association.

1. The account was blocked due to association with an unfamiliar account. Contact the Amazon account status team;
2. The account status team gives the seller the company name of the linked account and allows the seller to investigate on their own;
3. The specialist contacts the seller to inquire about the results of the investigation, the seller’s connection with the company, and other information. The seller firmly denies any connection with the company.
4. The specialist will submit the communication records with the seller to the relevant team for review;
5. One hour after the call, the seller receives an email confirming that the application has been approved.


Judging from the successful appeals filed by the above-mentioned sellers, apart from the possibility of new types of associations, the blocking of the large-scale seller account associations this time may be a system misjudgment.

In fact, Amazon has also made many mistakes in misjudging associations before. In November 21, a large number of innocent sellers’ stores were blocked due to inexplicable association with unfamiliar accounts. Amazon later issued an apology letter for this.
 
However, Amazon has not responded to this matter so far, and the above argument can only be used as a reference. Sellers are reminded to check their account status in a timely manner. If they are found to be associated, they can first investigate the company information of the associated account before filing an appeal to increase the success rate of the appeal.
 
In addition, in recent times, in addition to compliance rectification operations, Amazon has also frequently adjusted its functions. Following the return label policy that was ready to be launched, Amazon has once again added a new function

Some sellers also revealed that Amazon is currently conducting internal testing of this new feature , so sales data is only displayed in Amazon's own products and third-party sellers' stores in some categories . The scope of implementation may be further expanded in the future.

For Amazon sellers, this new feature means that Amazon product sales will become more "transparent" in the future . It will not only have a certain impact on the product's click-through rate, but may also further intensify the low-price war launched to increase sales, thereby reducing sellers' profit margins.

Some sellers believe that after Amazon fully rolls out the sales data display function, off-site deals may become the second battlefield for inflating sales.
 
Some sellers also said that this function will indeed affect the click-through rate, but according to the search logic of the Amazon platform, the products with higher search results will still get a higher click-through rate, and sales volume is not the only factor that determines the search results. Therefore, for Amazon sellers, other factors are still worthy of attention, such as conversion rate, advertising, price, etc.
