FBA non-essential goods are no longer allowed to enter the warehouse. The content is as follows:

1. Amazon is closely monitoring the development of COVID-19 and its impact on buyers, selling partners, and employees. In order to provide the best service to everyone, we only prioritize accepting household staples and medical supplies in our fulfillment centers. Non-household staples or medical supplies cannot be shipped to Amazon fulfillment centers at this time.

2. This entry restriction will be effective from 5am (PST) on March 17th to April 5th. Seller email notification/seller backend notification/help page English version will be released in US and EUS at 5am (PST) on March 17th, and will be updated in various languages ​​(including Chinese) later.

3. During the restricted warehousing period (March 17-April 5), we expect that it will have a significant impact on sellers' business, Amazon warehouse management, and buyers. Sellers cannot send any products other than daily necessities and medical supplies to the fulfillment center. We will issue seller backend notifications, seller email notifications, and a new help page to let sellers know about this restriction.

We are closely monitoring developments regarding COVID-19 and its impact on our customers, sales partners and employees.

We are seeing an increase in online shopping, and as a result some products, such as household staples and medical supplies, are out of stock. With this in mind, we are temporarily prioritizing everyday staples, medical supplies, and other high-demand products coming into our fulfillment centers so that we can receive, restock, and ship these products to customers more quickly.

For products outside of these, we have temporarily disabled shipment creation. We are taking a similar approach with our retail suppliers.

This will take effect on April 5, 2020, and we will notify you once normal operations are restored. Shipments created before today will be received at the fulfillment center.

1. What products can I ship to FBA?
We are prioritizing household staples, medical supplies, and other high-demand products coming into our fulfillment centers so that we can receive, restock, and deliver these products to customers more quickly. Most of the products we are currently accepting fall into the categories below.

  • Baby Products
  • Health and Family
  • Beauty and personal care (including personal care products)
  • grocery store
  • Industry and Science
  • Pet Products

Listing products in incorrect categories is a violation of our listing policies and may result in account suspension.

2. Is Amazon taking similar steps for retail products?
yes.

3. Where does this apply?
Currently, this is applied in the US and EU markets.

4. What if I am already shipping goods?
Shipments created before March 17, 2020 will be received.

5. What happens to my products that are in Amazon fulfillment centers but not in one of the above categories? Can I still sell this item on Amazon?
Yes, if your products are already in transit and/or in our fulfillment centers, you can continue to sell them.

6. I believe my product is a household essential and/or medical supply, but I cannot get it shipped. What should I do?
We determine whether a product is a household staple, a medical supply, or both based on the listing. At this time, we are not accepting requests to reclassify listings.

7. My product is listed in the priority category but I cannot create a shipment. What should I do?
If your product is correctly categorized and you are unable to create a shipment, then the product is not a high priority at this time.

8. I don’t sell household staples or medical supplies. If I can’t restock my products, what will happen to my business?
We are making these temporary adjustments to prioritize everyday essentials, medical supplies, and other high-demand products coming into our fulfillment centers so that we can receive, restock, and ship these products to customers more quickly. You can continue to sell products in our fulfillment centers. This will be in effect from March 17 to April 5, 2020, and we will notify you once normal operations resume.

We understand this is a change to your business, and we do not make this decision lightly. We are working around the clock to increase capacity, and yesterday announced that we will be opening 100,000 new full- and part-time positions in our fulfillment centers across the United States.

9. Can I still sell non-household staples or medical supplies through merchant channels?
