Looking back at last year, the incidents of former big sellers such as Global Easybuy and Zhiyu being asked by suppliers to pay back their debts shocked the industry.
 
Recently, another video about a freight forwarder coming to collect debts has been widely circulated in sellers’ communication groups. In the video, several freight forwarders hold up white banners to denounce a Shenzhen seller for defaulting on payments.

It is learned that the big seller was founded in 2013 and is currently ranked among the top 50 national cross-border e-commerce export companies. Its main categories include pets, consumer electronics, 3C peripherals and other product lines, and its market scope covers countries such as the United States, Britain, Germany, France, and Japan.
 
Such a big retailer with strong strength and background was exposed to be in arrears of debts, which inevitably caused an uproar for a while, and there were constant rumors about major changes in the retailer and operational difficulties.
 
However, the situation soon turned around. The seller clarified that the company did not owe any transportation fees and all accounts payable had been settled within the stipulated time.
 
It is reported that the big seller started cooperation with the logistics company involved last year. However, due to the subsequent tax reform in the European Union, the two sides had disputes over the VAT payment from June 25 to July 5, 2021.
 
When the stalemate continued, the logistics company rashly went to the door with banners to demand repayment. The seller has now reported the case to the police and is seeking legal action. Both parties will actively push forward the matter and strive to clarify responsibilities.
 
In addition to this, another big seller in Shenzhen has also been caught up in controversy recently, and was suspected of being "sanctioned" by Amazon by having his account blocked.

It is learned that recently, the products of Shenzhen smart home brand Govee were found to be unavailable on Amazon, but the specific reason is still uncertain.
 
 
It has been nearly a year since the account banning wave broke out last year, and in recent months, Amazon seems to have once again sent out signals of crackdowns. There are reports that Amazon has started to ban some sellers’ stores again. In response, Amazon gave the reason that these sellers were suspected of violating the platform’s sales terms, mainly involving fake orders and other operations.
 
At present, it is not certain whether Govee’s emergency situation is due to violation of Amazon’s rules. However, Govee officially issued a statement saying that the situation was mainly due to “normal inspections” of EU stores, so it may need to temporarily “disappear” for a few days.
 
At the same time, Govee also said it is working with Amazon to complete this review as soon as possible.
 
It is learned that Govee is a brand of Shenzhen smart home brand Zhiyan Technology. In recent years, this brand has become famous in the cross-border smart home market, and its market share on the Amazon platform has continued to increase, with a compound growth rate of more than 300% for three consecutive years.
 
 
Govee also developed its own app, Govee Home, whose purchase page points directly to Amazon sites in the United States, Germany, Britain, France, Italy, etc. It can be seen that product sales are highly dependent on Amazon.
 
It is reported that Zhiyan Technology was established at the end of 2017. It is worth noting that its CEO is one of the founders of Anker Innovations. Last year, Anker announced that it planned to increase its investment in Zhiyan Technology by RMB 40 million.
 
Last year’s account suspension wave still scares many sellers, and now such a large-scale product can’t be found, which inevitably makes people confused. Although the specific reason has not yet been determined, sellers also need to act cautiously and operate in compliance to prevent Amazon from suddenly giving away a “gift package” for the first anniversary of the suspension.
