Pinch your own philtrum! Amazon France may face a ban on sales of its products because...

"On Tuesday, local time in the United States, Amazon's stock price climbed 5.3% to a record high, closing at $2,283 per share. As Amazon's stock price hit a new high, its CEO Jeff Bezos' net worth increased to $138.5 billion. Since entering 2020, Bezos' net worth has increased by nearly $24 billion."

This morning, after seeing this morning report, the sellers in the communication group shed tears of poverty.

I want to ask the heaven and earth: Why is there such a big difference when we are both doing Amazon? !

Due to the epidemic, many sellers said that the order volume is not as large as before. One seller in the seller communication group said: Give me an order, I can move the earth.

But just now, sellers on the French site suffered a critical blow: products on the French site may face a sales ban!

Products on the French site may face sales ban

At around ten o'clock in the morning, a seller asked whether the products on the French site were banned from sale?

Later a seller replied: Yes, all sales are banned!

The editor was shocked and questioned whether it was due to the seller's personal reasons or policy reasons.

Later, some sellers said that Amazon had previously issued a related announcement.

On March 22, Amazon Global Store released an article stating:

From now on, Amazon will temporarily stop accepting FBA orders for non-essential items from consumers at its Italian (Amazon.it) and French (Amazon.fr) sites so that employees at the operations center can focus on processing and delivering the orders that consumers currently need most.

Obviously, the announcement targets non-essential FBA orders for sites in Italy and France.

But some sellers raised questions:

1. The same products are not banned in Italy, but are banned in France?

2. It was clearly stated before that only some of the products were banned from sale, but now all of them are banned from sale?

3. Now all goods from Italy cannot be sent by FBA.

Later, a seller on the French site said: Mine are still for sale, not all products have been discontinued.

But several sellers said:

1. Products with good sales are almost banned from sale, leaving only a few SKUs with no sales.

2. Some personal care products are also banned from sale.

Since FBA sellers are out of business, the situation of MFN sellers should be better. As a result, one seller said: I received a notice yesterday that European e-mail parcel delivery has been stopped.

But this is just the notification received by the seller at present, and other sellers can verify this message.

Why are the same products not banned in Italy but in France?

When the sellers were puzzled, the editor found such news [French court ruled: Amazon will only accept orders for essential goods in the next month]

Court restricts Amazon's operations in France

According to foreign media reports, a court in Nanterre, France, recently ruled that Amazon should significantly limit the number of its orders in France in the coming weeks . Amazon will only be able to accept orders for groceries, hygiene and health-related products in the future. Amazon must comply with the regulations within 24 hours, otherwise it will have to pay a fine of 1 million euros per day.

Amazon has begun to "prioritize" essential items since France's lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak.

It is reported that all six of Amazon's logistics centers in France are still operating as usual to this day.

Since then, at least one Amazon employee has been diagnosed with the coronavirus in France, prompting a union (Sud Solidaires) to file a court case demanding that Amazon close all warehouses to protect employees.

Ultimately, the court ruled that Amazon could not operate as usual under the circumstances , but the company could still accept orders for essential goods.

Currently, this decision will be valid for one month, but the court will also adjust the validity period of the decision depending on the actual situation of the new crown epidemic.

Based on the above information, the sales of most sellers on the French site may not be satisfactory in the next month, and the situation after that is still unknown.

This spring is a real cold snap for cross-border sellers, but many sellers also said: Working on Amazon makes my heart better and better!

I don’t know what the current situation of sellers on the French site is like. What do you think about this? Welcome to leave a message in the comment section below the article~
