Teach you how to quickly complete dangerous goods audit

Many sellers may encounter dangerous goods audits when entering warehouses. Once audited, it means that the product cannot be sold in a short period of time, and various information must be submitted, which wastes a lot of time and affects the promotion progress.

I often see sellers asking in the group: What should I do about the dangerous goods review? I have been reviewing for more than a week, how could my product be a dangerous product? Let’s take a closer look.

Generally speaking, there are two types of dangerous goods audits:

It is indeed dangerous goods

Amazon requires sellers to provide relevant information for review for chemical products (including cosmetics), products containing lithium batteries, and products containing magnets , which may pose a threat during transportation.

In this case, you can just ask the manufacturer for information and submit it to Amazon. Generally, it will be completed within four days, but sometimes it may take up to half a month.

During the seller's review process, you can open a case to urge progress. It may not have much effect, but it is better than nothing.

It is not a dangerous product but it is being audited

Generally speaking, products in the categories of automotive products, maternal and child products, beauty and personal care, consumer electronics, personal care and health, food, home decoration, office supplies, pet products, sports and outdoor activities are more likely to trigger review.

Some sellers are wondering why my products trigger dangerous goods review even though they are clearly not dangerous goods?

In fact, Amazon mainly determines whether you need to conduct a dangerous goods review by capturing the keywords in your listing.

For example, does your listing contain sensitive words such as Battery, LED, skincare , etc. Therefore, it is very common for Amazon to mistakenly kill products. As for how to write a listing, the video tutorial "Building a Perfect Amazon Listing" has detailed explanations.

Recently, Amazon updated the submission template for dangerous goods review, using pictures and text to describe in detail how to fill in dangerous goods information or how to apply for exemptions.

Here is a brief introduction on how to apply for exemption

Step 1: Sellers can find the dangerous goods information submission template in the background news module recently. Click the new Excel template in blue, and then select the language and corresponding exemption form on the right to download.

Step 2: Fill in the relevant information. The red ones are required. For detailed information, please see the instructions of the sub-table below. Finally, upload it on the page you just downloaded. Generally speaking, the review will be completed 2-3 days after submission.

Generally speaking, when sellers are preparing to send FBA or transfer from self-shipping to FBA, Amazon will check your listing. If there are many sensitive words, there is a high probability that it will trigger an audit.

Therefore, when you list your products, try to avoid sensitive words and update the content after the goods arrive from FBA. This method can be used appropriately, but do not abuse it.

If you have truly dangerous goods, don’t do this, as you will be directly denied entry into the warehouse.
