4% of sales commission is waived! Etsy's new seller reward program is launched!

It is learned that on Thursday (September 7), the American handicraft e-commerce platform Etsy announced the launch of a program called "Share & Save" to reward sellers who bring sales to their stores through other channels.

Sellers participating in this program can share product links outside of Etsy, including social media, mobile text messages, personal websites, and email marketing. When consumers visit the seller's store through the link and purchase goods, the resulting orders can get a 4% discount on the Etsy bill (i.e., a 4% commission reduction).

The types of links you can create include: a link to your Etsy store, a link to a specific product listing, a link to a promotional code, a link to a product review, or a link to a specific theme or category.

Etsy says that while the link never expires, if the buyer does not place an order within 30 days of clicking the link (the last time), the seller will not be able to enjoy the sales fee discount brought by the "Etsy Share & Save" program.

Etsy launched the Etsy Share & Save program based on seller feedback and after extensive testing, and the program is free and available to all sellers, regardless of their selling experience.

To help sellers better use Etsy Share & Save to boost store sales, Etsy will launch resources in the coming weeks, including tips and tricks for promoting stores on other channels. In addition, it will host a webinar on September 21, 2023 to help sellers prepare for the holiday season.

“We’re always working to expand the range of tools and services we offer to help our sellers grow,” said Raina Moskowitz, Etsy’s chief operating officer, in a statement. “We look forward to seeing all the creative ways sellers will use Etsy Share & Save to grow their businesses, reach new customers, and create an even more delightful shopping experience on Etsy.”
