I have heard of a proverb: A life without ups and downs is a plain life.
From this we can see that the life of cross-border sellers who have gone through all kinds of hardships is by no means an ordinary life.

For FBA sellers, this extraordinary life has been like riding a roller coaster in recent times, with ups and downs.

It is learned that just yesterday, Amazon’s new FBA fee increase policy was officially implemented. The new FBA fees were increased by an average of about 5.2%, nearly double the average level of 2%-3% in 2021.

The soaring delivery fees have caused many sellers to exclaim in the seller communication group: Amazon is really a shit!

Some sellers mentioned that Amazon has increased delivery fees twice this year.

Some sellers also said that Amazon previously charged 3.64, but now it has risen to 5.14.

Some sellers even complained that the fees of Amazon FBA are really high, and they have been working for Amazon for so long.

The new FBA logistics policy implemented by Amazon has indeed caused headaches for many FBA sellers, but as the saying goes, "every policy has a countermeasure." In order to reduce the impact of the epidemic, Amazon has increased FBA fees. Sellers can also balance this cost by raising product prices .

However, speaking of the new FBA policy, in addition to the new logistics policy that was officially implemented yesterday, Amazon released another new FBA shipment policy today.

Amazon updates FBA shipment policy

It is learned that on January 19, Amazon US issued an announcement stating that starting from April 1, 2022 , Amazon will update its FBA shipment policy. If sellers perform the following three operations, it will result in delayed receipt of inventory and listing time:

1. Delete the shipment after approving the inbound transportation plan;

2. Sending the shipment along the wrong route;

3. Sending incomplete shipments, such as shipments that are in canceled or deleted status.

It is worth noting that if sellers send canceled or deleted shipments to Amazon, not only may these shipments be rejected, but the seller’s eligibility to send other goods to Amazon’s fulfillment centers may also be suspended.

Therefore, from April 1, 2022 , to avoid a range of issues that may cause delays, sellers are advised to follow the following guidelines:

1. When creating a shipping plan, specify the quantity, contents, and other information that may affect the shipment allocation.

2. After approving the transportation plan, please be sure to send the shipment to the designated operation center in accordance with the quantity and content specified in the plan.

3. After approving a multi-destination shipping plan, do not delete shipments and send them along different routes or parts of routes.

4. Make sure the Amazon logistics box number label is clearly visible.

5. Communicate with the carrier to ensure that the shipment is delivered to the address on the FBA box ID label no later than 30 days.

Amazon FBA has recently introduced many new policies, which is simply "one wave after another".

But sellers do not need to worry too much. For sellers who operate in compliance, the update of FBA shipment policy is actually an initiative to promote market fairness, which is beneficial rather than harmful.

And the recent news is not all bad. Yesterday, a seller in the seller communication group reported that Amazon’s inventory capacity has been updated!

Amazon storage capacity update

As early as the end of 2021, Amazon issued a notice to relax replenishment restrictions: starting from January 1, 2022, the inventory IPI score threshold for Amazon logistics storage restrictions will be reduced to 400. After the above adjustment of the inventory performance index score, the proportion of sellers with storage capacity restrictions will be less than 10%.

This means that Amazon has long shown its tendency to expand its storage capacity.

And yesterday, some sellers in the seller communication group reported that their inventory capacity had been updated.

One seller mentioned that he had been thinking about breaking through the delivery target, but Amazon gave him a storage capacity of 12,000 square meters , which was like a spiral of heaven and hell.

As soon as the news was released, many sellers expressed their envy: I have never seen such a large storage capacity in my life.

Some sellers also said that several of their accounts had just opened up storage capacity, and they had thought there was no hope but they had to make a breakthrough.

In any case, Amazon is updating its storage capacity and tends to expand it, which is good news for sellers.

As the saying goes, good fortune follows misfortune, and misfortune follows good fortune.
Affected by the market environment, Amazon's operating costs have risen and FBA fees have increased. Sellers can balance costs by raising prices.
Under the general trend of Amazon's compliance operations, the update of FBA shipment policies will make the market fairer for sellers who operate in compliance.
Changes in storage capacity policies can test sellers' operational capabilities and help them improve their operational capabilities.

Therefore, it is recommended that sellers learn more about Amazon’s operating rules. Sellers that operate in compliance are more likely to be the sellers who have the last laugh.
