What is Prime Air? Prime Air Review
Prime Air - a delivery system from Amazon that is designed to safely deliver packages to customers in 30 minutes or less using unmanned aerial vehicles (also known as drones). Launched in 2013 Chinese drone

introduce

Amazon's "Prime Air" service, which uses drones to drop goods into residential yards, has development centers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Austria, France, and Israel, and is also one of the ways to solve the problem of "no one is home to receive the goods." However, this service can only be carried out when the weather is clear and windless, and must comply with the flight regulations of each country.

Principles of flight

Amazon’s drones are designed to fly fast—60 miles per hour. They fly at altitudes between 200 and 400 feet, well below the 500 feet of regular aircraft. The total distance from the warehouse to the customer and back can be 20 miles (known as an “ABA mission”). When it reaches the GPS coordinates of its destination, it looks for a unique “marker”—an electronically identified welcome mat that customers place at a good landing spot—and drops the package. (Packages can weigh up to five pounds, and 85% to 90% of packages Amazon sends are within that weight range.) When the drone returns to base, a worker replaces the battery and gets the drone ready to take off again.

develop

In December 2016, Amazon officially launched its drone delivery project in rural areas of England and successfully delivered its first order.

In April 2017, Amazon developed the second-generation Prime Air delivery drone, which has improved durability, battery life and stability compared to the previous generation.
