A large number of iPhone 15 peripheral products are in great demand, and 3C sellers are celebrating!
At 1 a.m. Beijing time on September 13, Apple's iPhone 15 series was officially unveiled.

Although it has been criticized for "lack of innovation" and the Huawei Mate60 series is "far ahead", the speed at which the first batch of iPhone 15 series products sold out within one minute after they were officially launched still intuitively shows that its popularity remains as ever.

As the 3C demand storm triggered by Huawei Mate60 and iPhone 15 intensifies, a large number of cross-border sellers with "far ahead" business acumen are also seizing overseas business opportunities.

As the global preheating of the iPhone 15 series began, the search volume for related search terms such as "iphone 15" and "iphone 15 pro" began to fluctuate since late August. Google Shopping Trends shows that the popularity of the search term "iphone 15" gradually increased on September 11, and reached its peak on September 13 (the day of the press conference), and the popularity did not subside until September 17.

At the same time, according to the search trends of the Top25w hot search tool, in the past week, the popularity of search terms related to iPhone 15 on Amazon's US site has indeed soared, among which 3C products such as Apple charging cables, mobile phone cases and mobile phone protective films are the most popular among consumers.

At present, sellers on major e-commerce platforms have seen a surge in orders thanks to iPhone 15 peripheral products.

Data from Alibaba International Station shows that since August, global demand for USB-C interface data cables has increased by 26% year-on-year. On the evening of September 13, when Apple officially announced the adoption of the USB-C port, Alibaba International Station saw a surge in over 20,000 "Apple USB-C interface data cables" products overnight.

At the same time, there are also many cross-border sellers on Amazon with a keen business sense who bet on the Apple USB-C charging cable category in advance and successfully received a surge in orders after the press conference. Among them are UGREEN Technology and Anker Innovations, which are known as the top 3C sellers on Amazon.

In addition, iPhone 15 series accessories such as anti-fall mobile phone cases, car-mounted mobile phone holders and power banks have also attracted the attention of many consumers through exposure on social platforms such as TikTok, and the order volume has skyrocketed.

The above data clearly shows that the consumer demand triggered by the release of the iPhone 15 series has created many business opportunities for 3C sellers in the cross-border e-commerce industry.

However, it is worth noting that this type of "hotspot-riding" order-boosting model, while bringing a lot of traffic and orders to cross-border sellers, also contains considerable infringement risks.

It was observed that before the launch of the iPhone 15 series, Amazon had caused a "keyword scanning and infringement link" storm.

A seller said that starting from September 8, the backend received a large number of complaints, and dozens of links were all shown to be suspected of intellectual property infringement. By September 9, all the links not only received infringement warnings, but were also deleted by Amazon.

The seller stated that in order to catch up with the popularity of iPhone 15, he added the keyword "iphone 15" in the link early on, and speculated that it might be "iphone 15" that triggered the infringement risk .

Under this post, many sellers also had their links deleted by Amazon due to infringement of the keyword "iPhone 15":
"I posted a few posts, which also said infringement, and the links were deleted."
"Recently, many links have been removed. "Compatible with" and "for" are not available. It should be that the system has directly determined infringement after scanning. You can try again after 15 is released."
“Everyone who works in this category knows that starting from iPhone 12, it’s been like this every year. Don’t worry about it. Just write about iPhone 15 after the release.”

Afterwards, some sellers resumed normal sales by deleting the keywords and links, but other sellers still failed to pass the appeal after deleting the keywords and were unable to sell normally. They were also troubled by the high value of some 3C products.

According to industry insiders, Apple has always attached great importance to confidentiality. Before the release of each important product, all related peripheral products will be regarded as having risks of infringement and leakage, and their sales will be restricted.

Fortunately, after Apple held the launch conference for the iPhone 15 series, Amazon automatically restored the previously deleted link and confirmed the news.

At present, some of the sellers whose links were deleted have resumed normal sales, and some sellers have even successfully received hundreds of orders a day through iPhone 15 series peripheral products. It can be seen that Amazon's previous deletion of the links did not have a significant impact on the subsequent sales of these sellers.

But there is no doubt that while cross-border sellers who are chasing hot spots see the strong popularity of peripheral products, they also need to pay attention to the infringement risks of related products: for example, some of the previous "Barbie" hot words have been registered as trademarks, and the iPhone 15 has not yet been released, which will lead to keyword infringement.

As Amazon's risk control continues to escalate, only compliance can ensure long-term success.
