Certification Process

1. Submit the formal application form and structural parameter table---it is an important document for applying for VDE.

2. Application confirmation---After receiving the formal application form and structural parameter table, VDE will formally confirm the application in writing within 2-4 weeks and send invoices, factory inspection questionnaires and other information.

3. Sample delivery---When the VDE application is confirmed, the specific sample delivery requirements and the relevant standards for testing will be notified. After the sample is completed, it must be self-tested according to the standard requirements or sent to relevant domestic laboratories for prediction. Only after the prediction is qualified can the sample be safely and accurately sent to VDE for testing by express delivery.

1) Once all test items are passed, the applicant will be notified immediately.

2) The inspection results may also be defective. For some minor defects, the certification body communicates with VDE and only needs to make slight corrections without re-sending samples, and VDE can issue the certificate.

3) When there are major defects in the test results, the certification body will discuss the reasons for the failure with the applicant. If necessary, VDE will send back the failed samples for reference and analysis. After the samples are modified and improved, the re-inspection procedures will be carried out and the samples will be sent again until they are qualified. If the samples are re-sent within six months, the re-testing fee will be much cheaper.

4. Factory inspection: factory inspection before issuing the certificate and regular or irregular supervisory review after obtaining the certificate. Before the factory inspection, the certification body will send experts to assist the manufacturer to conduct self-inspection of production facilities, experimental equipment, measurement and the entire quality system against VDE requirements. If the inspector puts forward rectification requirements during the inspection, the manufacturer will be assisted to discuss the rectification measures as soon as possible and implement them quickly until the re-inspection is qualified.

5. Issuance of certificate: On the premise that the factory inspection is successfully passed, if the sample test is qualified, VDE will notify the applicant of the result in a timely manner and the VDE certificate will be issued soon.
