It is understood that the new distribution center covers an area of ​​220,000 square feet, more than double the area of ​​the original facility. The center is strategically located at 5320 West Airport Highway in Irving, Texas, only six miles from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. As a fully owned distribution center, DHL invested $57.5 million in land, buildings, automation technology, etc.

The center will be staffed with approximately 150 employees to handle domestic import and export packages for B2C e-commerce business. The center uses the most advanced ring sorting machine, which can process 24,000 packages per hour, conveyed through eight induction lines, which is twice the parcel processing capacity of the original site. At the same time, the sorting machine has an accuracy rate of up to 97% to 99%, providing a guarantee for efficient and high-quality order fulfillment.

Lee Spratt, CEO of DHL Americas, said that the new distribution center is located in the relatively prosperous city of Irving, Texas, which will be able to easily and quickly access the international airport and realize air and land transportation.
