More than 1.2 million lighting lamps were recalled by CPSC! There is a risk of fire and burns

It is learned that on June 6, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of lights sold by Good Earth due to the risk of fire and burns.

It is understood that the recalled products are Good Earth rechargeable integrated lights, involving models RE1122, RE1145, RE1362 and RE1250, which are printed on the white sticker on the back of the lamp. The product is about 12 inches long and is sold in one or two sets. Colors include white, silver, almond, black and rose gold, and come with a charging cable and remote control. The CPSC said the product's lithium battery may overheat and ignite the plastic casing, causing a fire.

Between October 2017 and January 2024, more than 1.2 million units of the product were sold on online shopping malls such as Amazon and Lowe's, as well as offline stores, with a single unit priced at approximately US$20 and a combination priced at approximately US$35.

Good Earth received reports of a fire caused by the product last year that killed one consumer and treated another for smoke inhalation, and there were nine reports of the lamps overheating, six of which resulted in fires and property damage.

CPSC said consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lamps and contact Good Earth for a free replacement lamp of equal value. At the same time, consumers need to write the date and initials next to the model number on the back of the lamp, write "recall" on the front of the lamp, and send photos to the Good Earth website to complete the recall process.
