Even more outrageous, a seller once argued with Amazon for months over using the "Mac" in "Mac & Cheese" because "Mac" is also one of Amazon's trademarks .

1. It increases the difficulty for sellers when writing product descriptions and titles. They need to choose words more carefully to avoid triggering Amazon’s automatic inspection program.

More restrictions on brand names



Since Amazon’s new title rules are also going to take effect, this means that there are many new restrictions on brand names:

  • Title character limit : Starting from January 21, 2025, for most product categories, the length of the product name is limited to 200 characters (including spaces). The character limit for some product categories will be stricter, such as the maximum number of characters for some categories is only 125.
