An Amazon employee who forced his staff to leave the company was arrested. Who exactly is Dark Horse Technology?

An Amazon employee who forced his staff to leave the company was arrested. Who exactly is Dark Horse Technology?

September 19th news, according to foreign media reports, the U.S. Department of Justice on Friday charged six people with participating in a scheme to bribe Amazon employees and contractors to gain "unfair advantages" in the company's online marketplace.

The indictment mentioned that the defendant bribed at least ten Amazon employees and contractors! The bribed Amazon internal employees and contractors provided the defendant with a series of services that violated Amazon rules and were suspected of fraud, among which the focus was on restoring the seller accounts and product links that were blocked on Amazon Marketplace. This is probably the "internal operation forced account opening" service that has been rumored in the service provider market.

The reinstated products include dietary supplements that were suspended due to customer safety complaints, home electronics marked as flammable, consumer products marked for intellectual property infringement, and other goods.

Fraudulent accounts that have been restored include those that manipulated product reviews to deceive consumers, established inappropriate connections with consumers, and other violations of Amazon’s seller policies and code of conduct.

The indictment alleges that corrupt internal employees and contractors abused their positions to restore these accounts by manually restoring product listings and approving unfounded and fraudulent appeals they themselves drafted. After the fraudulent restorations, product and merchant sales revenue exceeded $100 million!

In the United States, conspiracy to use a communications facility to facilitate commercial bribery and unauthorized access to a protected computer are punishable by up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Conspiracy to commit wire fraud carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine .

The case is currently being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) with the assistance of the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Justice's Office of International Affairs.

The U.S. judicial and law enforcement agencies are now paying close attention to crimes in the Amazon sector. Amazon established an anti-counterfeiting crime department at the beginning of this year. The team includes many former federal law enforcement officers and prosecutors. Amazon is now taking strong measures against related illegal and criminal activities.

In the past, some service providers claimed that they could "forcefully open accounts internally". After this case, service providers should stop making irresponsible claims. They could be held criminally liable in a matter of minutes.

"There is no place for fraud on Amazon," Amazon said in a statement to CNN. Amazon said it has systems in place to detect suspicious behavior by sellers or employees, as well as teams that investigate and stop prohibited activity.

Amazon added: "We are particularly disappointed by the actions of these former employees and appreciate the cooperation and support of law enforcement in bringing them and their collaborators to justice."

Amazon has admitted that its employees improperly accessed customer data in January, when it notified customers that it had fired several employees after discovering they shared customer email addresses and phone numbers with third parties.

Who is Dark Horse Technology, which has more power over life and death than its "brother-in-law"?

Recently,

The name Dark Horse Technology has swept the cross-border e-commerce circle.

Many people are criticizing him.

They say that this is a threat to compliant sellers and is arrogant and unreasonable.

Some sellers said that from a technical point of view,

This Dark Horse Technology mainly has a group of self-supporting accounts,

The cost is only 10,000 to 20,000 yuan, but it can create such a big storm.

It's just that these people have no principles in doing things.

There is no bottom line for petty gains.

Some sellers who have been threatened said that this was an attack by a self-supporting account. The account ODR directly soared to 1.5%. They placed an order for refund and complained that it was second-hand, and then received a series of one-star feedback. Now there is no shopping cart button for Amazon products. All 6 products were reviewed as second-hand products. They were cleared out of the inventory and no longer doing business with Amazon. I was trying to drive this dog away, but the dog turned around and bit me.

First, here’s a shocking picture, a threatening email from Dark Horse Technology claiming to be Amazon’s Yama Post.

This is a warning letter from Dark Horse Technology to sellers that has been circulating online: Our team has been paying attention to every move of your store. If you continue to sell, your store will no longer exist. We now have a special team paying attention to the dynamics of your store. I advise you to give up this store, otherwise you will not be able to sell any orders. We will pay attention to your store 24 hours a day. If you have several stores, our team will still find them out and destroy your store. You followed a store that you shouldn’t have sold to because you can’t afford to offend it! ! ! ! ! ! ————————Dark Horse Technology

It is understood that a seller was harassed by Dark Horse Technology in various ways, and not only wrote an apology letter, but also eventually gave up his store.

Today, someone revealed the true identity of Dark Horse Technology and posted its WeChat and Alipay QR codes. The editor tried to add them to find out who they are, but has not been accepted so far.

Some people say that Dark Horse Technology does not exist at all and is just a marketing gimmick of some service providers, but others say that Dark Horse Technology actually exists.

What do you think?
