The most stringent audit in history broke out, and many sellers were swept away!
Amazon sellers have barely had time to breathe a sigh of relief, and now Amazon has made new moves!

A few days ago, everyone was still digesting the latest listing pictures and five-point description new rules, but yesterday’s “refund only” policy has already caused many sellers to suffer a wave of “critical blows”💥.

Before you can fully react, a large number of sellers have received new verification notices from Amazon! This audit is really the strictest in history. Whether it is the type of audit or the materials required to be submitted, people can't help but sigh: "This is really testing the limits of sellers!"

Let’s first take a look at the content of the notification received by the seller:

It can be seen from the notice that Amazon requires sellers to prove the authenticity of their accounts and inventory.

As for the verification of account authenticity, everyone may have become accustomed to it. It is nothing more than submitting business licenses, bills and other information to prove that your company is a "legitimate company" rather than a "shell company" . Recently, many sellers have consulted about shooting high-quality celebrity videos, saying that the conversion rate is not ideal now and they want to improve the conversion rate!

However, many sellers may have never heard of inventory authenticity verification before! 🤔

So the question is, how to pass this verification?

Amazon’s answer is – video interview verification! Yes, it is different from the previous verification process, this time there is an additional word “interview”.

Specifically, Amazon recommends the following list of people to participate in the video interview:

① Store owners and operators:

For those old shops, this is a big challenge! After all, the legal person who registered the business back then may have disappeared. 😅

② Partners closely related to your business:

This refers to suppliers. They not only have to prove that your inventory is real, but also provide relevant documents to confirm your partnership. 😓

Many sellers, especially small sellers, were disappointed when they saw this notice. Suppliers were either unwilling or unable to participate in video interviews. What should they do? 😭

A deeper analysis of the sellers who received such notifications revealed that most of them met the following criteria:

1. No brand registration, using whitelist

2. A brand authorizes multiple stores

3. There are complex follow-up sales relationships between stores

Although not all of these situations will trigger an audit, if you encounter several of them at the same time, Amazon will likely question the inventory you sell and require an inventory authenticity audit interview.

Especially the third point, complex cross-selling, has caused more and more sellers to receive similar notifications.

The content of the notice said: Amazon believes that the products offered by your store are inappropriate and may be used to engage in fraudulent or illegal activities.

After a careful analysis of the stores that received this notification, it was found that most of them were stores with complex follow-up selling relationships among multiple stores.

To be honest, this video interview review felt quite difficult. It was like a combination of "video review + supply chain review + inventory authenticity review".

And this review requires a lot of materials!

In addition to the more common business license, ID card and other information, it also includes our common purchase invoices and contracts. This is not all. Most sellers are also required to provide packing lists, logistics invoices, contracts, etc., and even customs clearance records.

Sellers who receive this review must prepare materials in detail and prepare for the interview content in a solid manner. With sufficient preparation, the chances of passing will be much higher.
