AskMe is a one-stop service platform under Getit in India - similar to Taobao + 58.com, providing a variety of services from catering, travel, recruitment to education, shopping, etc. In 2012, AskMe established the e-commerce platform Askmebazaar, covering a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises. AskmeBazaar is India's largest hosting market that recreates the excellent Indian shopping experience online. It is a bazaar with stores across India where buyers can search, compare, bargain and buy the goods of their choice from sellers across India. In February this year , its valuation reached US$ 500 million and it was on the road to becoming a unicorn. As of January 2016 , Askmebazaar's annual transaction volume reached US$ 800 million. In September 2016 , news broke that AskmeBazaar had closed down and laid off 4,000 employees due to severe financial constraints after a few weeks of suspension .
