For the third time since the end of last year, Zuckerberg will lay off employees again next week!

It is learned that as a cost-prevention adjustment plan, Meta Inc announced a layoff plan of 10,000 employees in March. The latest news shows that Meta will start a new round of layoffs next week. This will be the company's third layoff since the end of last year.

The new round of layoffs is part of the company's layoff plan announced in March, which included cutting 10,000 jobs and closing about 5,000 vacant positions at the company.

In November 2022, 11,000 employees were supposed to be laid off, while in March, Mark Zuckerberg's company cut 4,000 employees from the 10,000 planned layoffs this year.

"These are times of great anxiety and uncertainty," said Nick Clegg, Meta's president of global affairs. In turn, he expressed admiration for all those workers who have remained stable and professional despite the slim chance of keeping their jobs.

Two months ago, the company's founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that Meta planned to announce a restructuring and layoffs in its technology department at the end of April. At that time, the affected areas were technical areas such as user experience, software engineering, graphics programming and other technical functions of the company.

Zuckerberg also stressed in the announcement that there will be layoffs in finance, legal affairs, human resources and other business groups at the end of May, and the number of layoffs expected next week will remain the same. As part of what Zuckerberg called the "Year of Efficiency," he made it clear that these adjustments may continue until the end of the year.
