Repeat Offender Policy

Just recently, Amazon officially upgraded its "Account Status Rating - Repeat Violations" policy again. It will start on October 31, 2024.


" Repeat violations " refer to sellers violating the same Amazon policy twice or more within 180 days . For the first violation, Amazon usually gives a warning and an opportunity to correct it. However, if the violation occurs again, it may result in the removal of the product or even the account being blocked.


To unblock, you need to submit relevant supporting documents (such as business license, invoice, etc.) and an improvement plan.



Notice:

Policy violations that do not affect the account status rating will not be counted as repeated violations.

② If there is a violation but the performance is eliminated, it will not be counted in the cumulative number.



At the same time, each time you violate the same policy, the points associated with the policy violation in your account health rating will increase, and repeated violations will cause your account health rating to be downgraded more quickly.




If the number of repeated violations of the relevant policies reaches the limit within 180 days, you may face the risk of immediate suspension regardless of your account health rating.

How should sellers deal with repeated violations?

When a seller account repeatedly violates the rules and regulations by reaching the upper limit, it will be considered a serious violation and the account health rating (AHR) score will be reset to zero, and the account will be at risk of being deactivated.


Amazon will notify you via email .




Countermeasures:


  • Grace Period Processing: You will have a 3-day grace period to resolve the violation before your account is deactivated . If you are able to successfully resolve the violation within these 3 days, your account will not be deactivated and your account health rating will be updated.



  • Account Health Assurance Program (AHA): If you have joined AHA, when your account is facing suspension due to repeated violations, you will have the opportunity to receive a call from an account specialist to provide critical assistance in resolving the issue.


  • Contact Support: You can make an appointment for Chinese support by clicking the "Contact me now" button on the "Performance" > "Account Status" page of Seller Central. Support service hours are 7 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

  • Study the rules in depth: Be familiar with the platform rules and ensure compliance with business operations.

  • Strengthen store management: Strengthen daily management to promptly identify and handle potential violations.
