New ways to play Prime Day this year! Two major favorable policies


Amazon sellers’ mid-year feast, Prime Day, is getting closer and closer. Every year, Prime Day will create Amazon’s sales record, so for sellers, Prime Day is likely to usher in the peak sales of the whole year.


Amazon updates some new policies and rules every year for this important promotion festival to stimulate sellers’ enthusiasm for participation. This year, two very important contents were added for sellers.


One is that the sellers are notified in advance of the Primeday schedule (whether they can be scheduled on that day).


Another is the newly added Primeday Coupon feature .



Now let me take a detailed look at the contents of these two updates and what benefits they bring to sellers.

Advance notification of scheduling


In previous Primedays, sellers who participated in the member-day flash sales had no idea whether they had been accepted or when they would be scheduled after signing up. They could only get their scheduling information a few weeks before Primeday.


This is actually very unreasonable, because whether you can get a chance to participate in the flash sale on Primeday is a crucial thing. The effect of a flash sale on that day is absolutely different from that on other days (that is, flash sales during Primeday week).


If you don’t schedule for Prime Day, the effect can only be said to be slightly better than usual. There is no feeling of a big sale festival at all . The flash sales on Prime Day can even increase sales tenfold .


Therefore, if sellers participating in Primeday have flash sales scheduled on that day, they need to prepare enough goods to prevent them from selling out. If the flash sales are not scheduled on that day, preparing too much goods will easily lead to backlogs.


Ideally, sellers need to know their schedules in advance and estimate sales and prepare inventory based on their schedules.


But the reality is that when Amazon announces the schedule, it is usually too late to prepare the goods and even the latest warehousing time has passed.


Now, if a seller’s product performs well enough (the screening mechanism and standards are still unknown), Amazon will email the seller in advance to inform them that the product can participate in the Prime Day flash sale (the time will not be specific).

Amazon also made it clear at the end that only the products included in the attachment of this email can participate in the flash sale on that day, and other products declared by the seller for Primeday but not included in the attachment will not be scheduled for that day, but can be scheduled for Primeday week.


It is only the end of May, but Amazon has already informed sellers in advance whether to report on the flash sales on Member Day, nearly two months in advance. This way, the goods can be prepared and sent to FBA before the warehousing deadline (scan the QR code at the end of the article to consult me ​​for the warehousing deadline).


It has to be said that this is a change that sellers have been looking forward to for a long time. Knowing whether they can be scheduled for that day can allow sellers to have clearer stocking goals and effectively prevent out-of-stock or backlogs.


If the change in the scheduling notification strategy is a benefit for old sellers who frequently participate in Primeday, then the next Primeday Coupon is a benefit for small and medium-sized sellers who are afraid of not being able to earn back the registration fee and dare not sign up for LD.

Primeday Coupon


Primeday's flash sales have a very high registration fee. Many novices and small sellers will miss out on this big promotion festival due to cost and profit considerations.


In the past, I would recommend various ways to get Primeday traffic to sellers who did not sign up for flash sales. But this year, these sellers who do not participate in flash sales also have a new way to play - Primeday Coupon.

1. First of all, to participate in this coupon activity, you still need to meet the following conditions.

• 20% off the lowest price of the product in 30 days

• Target group is Amazon Prime members

• The product has more than 3 stars (new products can have no stars)

• Must be high quality product


2. When setting the target consumers, select "Amazon Prime Member" (Important! If you don't select it, it will be a regular coupon)


3. When selecting the coupon effective time period, select

For example, if I want to choose to make the coupon effective on both Prime Day Lead-Up and Prime Day (which is the first item), I need to fill in the effective time from July 1 to July 31.


Please note that what is filled in here is the window period. The Amazon backend will automatically match the specific effective time. It does not mean that it can be used from the 1st to the 31st!


This is a very good event for sellers who never participate in Primeday flash sales. There is no high registration fee, and it can also efficiently utilize the huge traffic on the platform during the promotion day.


Especially when this event was just launched this year, Amazon will definitely focus on promoting this new thing. Sellers who did not get a chance to participate in the flash sale on that day can try this Primeday Coupon.
