Wall lamps sold on Amazon and other platforms are recalled by CPSC! There is a risk of electric shock

It is learned that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced the recall of a wall lamp sold by Kichler Lighting due to the risk of electric shock.

It is understood that the recalled products involve Ellerbeck wall lamps with model numbers 43115BK, 43115NBR, 43115PN and 43115CLP. The wall lamp has an articulated arm and can be installed as a plug-in lamp without a distribution box. The wall lamp arm is approximately 21.25 inches long. The wall lamp is available in black, natural brass, polished nickel and classic pewter finishes. The model and production date are printed on the product packaging and on a sticker on the inside of the wall plate. The products recalled this time are limited to wall lamps produced on or after June 16, 2023, installed as plug-in lamps and without a distribution box. The production date code is located on the sticker under the wall plate.

Between June 2023 and December 2024, about 2,760 units of the product were sold on Amazon.com, Lowes.com and lighting showrooms across the United States, with prices ranging from $165 to $240. The CPSC noted that the wall lamp's wires may be damaged at the adjustable connector, posing a risk of electric shock. No injuries have been reported to users so far.

CPSC advises consumers to check the wall sconces to make sure they are plug-in lamps and do not require a distribution box. If they meet the conditions, they should unplug them immediately and stop using them. Consumers can go to Kichler Lighting's official website to verify whether the wall sconces are within the recall range, and submit a form through the "Contact Us" page and select the "Product Issue" option. Kichler will provide guidance on destroying the recalled products after contacting them, and explain how to submit a destruction confirmation photo so that the wall sconces can be replaced free of charge.
