What is Amazon Geo-ranking? Amazon Geo-ranking Review
Amazon is gradually moving from the A9 to the A10 algorithm, and one of the biggest changes is geo-ranking. This means that your product ranking is affected by the location of Amazon customers’ searches, and you need to do in-depth research during the product research phase , even targeting specific states in the United States .

Influencing factors

Geographic ranking is not affected by the usual factors, but by two factors: shipping speed and inventory. Geographic ranking is also affected by many other factors, such as local product market fit and regional audience fit. In other words, where customers search for products directly affects Amazon's product ranking. Buyers with different addresses are likely to get different search results.

effect

As a seller, this new change can help you research products more deeply and target specific states where you want to sell more products.

How to use geolocation to increase sales

1. Inventory

a) Send more inventory to prevent stockouts and intercept sales from competitors whose inventory levels are running low.

b) Use the Amazon Fulfillment Status Report to see where your inventory is located and how much inventory you have.

Seller Central > Reports > Inventory > Fulfillment > Daily Inventory History

c) Check this report to see which fulfillment center your products were shipped from. Look under fulfillment-center-ID.

Seller Central > Reports > Sales > Amazon Fulfilled Shipments

2. Product Listing

Optimize your listings to pay more attention to regional differences and use words that relate to the psychology and behavior of your ideal customers. Consider the key differences between states/regions and see if regions with unique content are seeing higher sales than regions with generic content.

3. Amazon On-site Marketing

You can already target other locations in the United States by using Amazon DSP ads to target different regions.

4. Off-Amazon Marketing

Target specific states when promoting with Facebook and Google Ads.

Whether you’re promoting in the lowest-ranked state or the highest-ranked state, don’t target the entire country.

However, even though you rank #1 for your keyword, you may realize that ranking #1 in some states in the US does not mean you rank #1 in all states. You may rank #1 in most states and #2 in others.
