When doing evaluation, the service provider is the biggest risk


I have always been doing Amazon business on my own, with a small scale, and at most I just ask acquaintances and relatives for help. I am also quite indifferent to reviews, and should be considered a seller of the Jingpu school, preferring high-quality reviews over quantity.


In the past two years, it has become increasingly difficult to fake orders, and Amazon's review and algorithms have become increasingly stringent. The service provider I originally worked with was obviously using server machines to fake orders, and I was often caught empty-handed.


After machine-generated reviews didn’t work, I turned around and started doing reviews. At that time, there weren’t many review service providers and sellers in the circle. When I was looking for the first review service provider, I failed. They said that the reviews were conducted by real people’s accounts, but in fact they were still using machine-generated reviews.


There were no problems at first, but they started to be deleted after the membership day of that year, which was only a few months later. Later, I talked to other sellers about this service provider in the forum and found out that they actually used machine flashing, and although they used some encrypted environment, it was still not safe.


After that, I changed the evaluation service providers several times, and basically there was no particularly reliable partner. Either the communication and feedback were not active, or there were frequent disputes over refunds. But the most important thing was the account problem. If there was no high-quality account for the evaluation, it would be deleted soon even if there was no problem at the time.


There was even a time when a product was restricted from review, which scared me so much that I didn’t dare to touch the product for a long time. After the above experience, I began to consider contacting buyers to conduct reviews myself.

Real people are good, but there are too many things that are uncontrollable


I first contacted a high school classmate who studied abroad and stayed in the local area to work. I selected some real sellers who had demand for my products from him and his social circle and sent them products in exchange for good reviews. However, the quantity was very limited. Many of them had not done any reviews and some were not familiar with Amazon. Although the reviews were stable, the efficiency was too slow.


I originally thought that the more and more frequent reviews an account leaves, the lower the quality of the account, and the more likely it is to be identified as fake orders, so the weight of reviews from accounts that rarely shop and leave reviews should be high.

On the contrary, such an account without much usage record will not have a high weight even if the information is true.


Later, I started looking for buyers who would accept reviews on some social networking sites, but not Facebook. There are many Amazon employees who are fishing for law enforcement in Facebook groups, and it is difficult to find real consumers because of the mixed crowd. I chose some relatively niche platforms. Although there are few people, it is not easy to find people who will accept products in exchange for reviews. But fortunately, I caught one as many as I could, and the security and weight were still OK.


But there was one situation that I had not expected. Some of the people I had contacted tasted the sweetness of cooperating with me and started looking for other sellers to do reviews for them. However, it is impossible for buyers to know things like review rate and review interval. A few of them were so greedy that they took too many reviews and ruined their own accounts, causing me to lose reviews and have my reviews restricted.


At this point, I deeply realized that no matter whether it was fake orders or finding someone to evaluate, the problem would eventually lie with the account. As long as the account was in someone else's hands, the risk would be difficult to control. At this time, I began to think about building my own account evaluation system.

The ups and downs of the account-raising system


I was hesitant at first, because I always thought that building a self-service account maintenance system was a way for big sellers, and I couldn't afford it. But I couldn't find a better solution to the problem of getting reviews, and the price of the account maintenance system sold by the service provider was going down, so I gritted my teeth and found a service provider and spent 28,000 yuan to buy a packaged account maintenance system.


For those who have no experience with software, they can only strictly follow the guide provided by the service provider step by step, and they also need to spend time to maintain their own accounts. However, I finally managed to leave some reviews and survived the wave of review deletions before and after the big promotion. Just when I thought I had finally found the ultimate solution, this system had a problem and would report an error when paying. When I contacted customer service, they said that Amazon had modified the backend system and they were urgently repairing it.


However, after waiting for a long time, there was still no news of restoration to normal, and the customer service's reply was also intermittent, which made me think that they were going to run away with the money. While I was studying every aspect of the system to see if I could solve it myself, I was also complaining to the customer service for a refund.


Self-built evaluation systems do have advantages, but if there is a problem with the packaged system, it has to be completely torn down and rebuilt, and it is easy to run into a service provider who runs away. I learned most of the links of raising accounts and brushing orders from this unusable packaged system, but there are still many key links missing (such as credit cards, I can't solve this payment problem) so I can't brush orders myself.


Later, I learned from the WeChat public account that Mr. Frank had his own way of doing things, so I asked him about the security and payment solutions. His ideas were similar to mine, so I quickly built the system under his guidance.


So far, these accounts and comments are very strong, and the comment environment, content, and security are completely under my control. The above problems have not occurred again. The only drawback is that I can't manage them all at once. It's difficult for me to take care of the store and maintain more than a dozen accounts at the same time. This should not be a problem for sellers with manpower. I think this low-cost account-raising method is the best Review solution for small and medium-sized sellers.
