Development History

-At the end of 2017, Coupons was launched on the US site.

-On June 8, 2018, coupons were launched on the UK, France and Germany sites.

-From July 2, 2018, Amazon Coupons promotion tool will be open to all third-party sellers in Japan.

Advantages of Coupons

1. Low threshold

Coupons are the only self-service tool that third-party sellers can use at this stage. The threshold for use is lower than that of Deals, and even new products with 0 reviews can be used. In the promotion of new products, coupons are a tool that every seller should use, and the effect is particularly good for new products.

2. Display the logo clearly

Coupons are prominently marked throughout Amazon and in search results. The display of coupons on search results can significantly increase product visibility, attract buyers, and thereby increase product conversion rates and sales.

3. Attract fixed customers

Coupons can be displayed to specific customer groups. There are 6 different customer groups, including Prime members, student members, mom members, customers who have browsed specific products, customers who have purchased specific products, and all customers. This targeted display function allows sellers' coupons to be more effectively targeted at the customer groups they set, reduce invalid exposure, and improve conversion rates.

4. Off-site traffic diversion

The product design of coupons can make it easier for sellers to display them on related websites, such as Coupon.com, RetailMeNot, or FatWallet, thereby increasing off-site traffic and thus boosting sales.
