Many top-selling products have gone bankrupt! It turns out that the fake order company leaked the secret?

Today, the sellers in our communication group came out to discuss that the top-selling Aoki products suddenly became unavailable in large quantities! Headphones, power banks, lenses and many other products are all shown as unavailable for sale.

And it's not just the US site. Many Aukit products are also affected on the UK and European sites, and are shown as unavailable for sale on the search pages.

And it's not just Aukway that's been affected recently. Another giant, Paton, also had this problem a few days ago. Several Amazon store pages reported errors, and all products under the Mpow brand were wiped out. They were removed from the shelves and cannot be sold, and they have not yet fully recovered.

The impact on Mpow is also very wide, ranging from headphones and chargers on the US site to eye masks on the UK site. This time, the Aoki incident is even bigger than Mpow. Not only are the products of one or two stores affected, but many products that come up when searching for the keyword Aoki are no longer available for sale.

After the last Paton incident, many sellers speculated that it was because of fake orders and illegal traffic diversion, and Amazon officially "punished" Paton. It could have been regarded as an isolated incident, and we sellers would just eat melons. After all, Amazon is very strict in this regard, and from time to time, they would conduct surprise inspections, remove reviews and warn sellers.

But in such a short period of time, many products of Patonson have not been restored, and then Aoji was also taken down, and the action was even bigger, which is a bit scary. Is Amazon trying to completely clean up a wave of top sellers? Not only did the melon sellers in our group sigh (if you want to join the group, scan the code at the end of the article and I will add you), but no matter how big you are, you are still under the shadow of the platform. The risk of closing the store has never disappeared, even for top sellers like Aoji and Patonson.

And the latest news is that the reason for this incident is that a hacker recently discovered a database vulnerability of a fake order company, and used the vulnerability to invade the server, exposing a large number of stores and buyer accounts involved in fake reviews!

The impact of fake order companies being hacked

Some sellers have previously speculated that Amazon has acquired or reached some kind of deal with a large fake order company, using their data and channels to clean up domestic sellers involved in fake orders. Otherwise, it would not have been able to find products and sellers involved in fake orders so widely and accurately and remove them from the shelves.

However, the latest news shows that Amazon did remove products based on the data of domestic order-padding companies. However, it was not because of an acquisition, but because a hacker leaked the server data of the order-padding companies.

The SafetyDetectives computer security team unpacked the data and found that the server contained a large amount of information on fake order stores and accounts, including identities, chats, email addresses, Amazon account information, etc., totaling 13,124,962 records (with a data volume of more than 7GB), involving as many as 200,000 people. It is not yet known which company the hacked server belongs to.

The exposed content shows that the company used the server to build a common program that facilitates the contact between sellers and writers. Sellers post their needs in the program and provide product links that require reviews. Writers then see the links, purchase the products, and leave 5-star reviews. After the seller confirms that the reviews are correct, they will refund the writers through PayPal. All communications and illegal operations almost never go through Amazon, which makes this type of order brushing extremely covert.

Because the evidence is solid and the scale is huge, this incident has caused an uproar in the United States. Amazon must deal with these exposed sellers and products at the center of the storm. Moreover, because of Amazon's pollution mechanism for determining fake orders, once a buyer is considered to be a fake order buyer, all the products he has purchased and the reviews he has left may be blacklisted, which has a very wide impact. Sellers who have found a systematic fake order company must be careful about their products. After dealing with the top few big sellers, small and medium-sized sellers will certainly not be spared. Sellers with high-risk operations must be prepared in the next two days!

We have always emphasized the dangers of hiring fake order companies and individual fake order writers. Reviews/fake orders that cannot be controlled in our hands will generate the above-mentioned pollution risks, and ultimately lead to the closure of the product/store.
