Listing Optimization 13 - Video

1. Introduction to video functions

With the video feature, sellers can upload videos to the main image tile of the detail page. The uploaded video will also appear in the "Related Videos" widget on the detail page .

Sellers who have registered with Amazon Brand can open A+ pages and video production brand flagship store pages, and sellers will be eligible to add EBC to ASINs that have been registered with the brand, but cannot add content to ASINs that do not belong to their brand.

2. Benefits of Video Function

1. Improve conversion rate

If a picture can convey 100 words, then a video can convey at least 1,000 words.

2. Videos can display products more intuitively.

For consumers, if there is a video description when they click on a product, the chances of promoting a deal will be greater, which can effectively improve the conversion rate. At the same time, the ranking and display position of the seller's products are still the key to getting consumers to click on their listings.

3. Reduce after-sales

If it is a highly functional product, inserting a video introduction in the listing (detailed explanation of how to use the product and precautions) can avoid lengthy listing descriptions and reduce many after-sales and return issues.

3. How to upload videos

1. It can be uploaded through A+ and EBC sections. If you upload a video in the EBC section in the background, the position where it is displayed in the foreground will be arranged by the system. It may be displayed in the position of the picture, above the comments, or only above the comments.

2. Leave a video through Customer Review. The video can be displayed in the comment area or above the comment. Related Video Shorts The Customer Review here is the message left by the buyer.

3. Upload directly using the buyer account. You can upload directly in Upload your video, or you can go into the buyer account and find Your Uploaded Product Videos , enter the product ASIN link, and then submit the video to any listing you want to upload the video to.

IV . Video Requirements

1. High-quality videos: Follow Amazon's video quality requirements. Amazon has the right to reject videos with inappropriate content, sounds, or solutions. Videos cannot contain product reviews, URLs outside of Amazon, inappropriate content, mention of limited-time specials or price discounts. Videos can only be associated with relevant ASINs in the seller's account.

2. Correct video format: Acceptable formats include 3GP, AAC, AVI, FLV, MOV, MP4, and MPEG-2.

3. Thumbnail: The aspect ratio is 16:9, and the recommended minimum width is 1920px. Acceptable formats are JPEG and PNG.

1. Videos in the main and sub-picture modules: 3P sellers who have registered their brands can add videos through EBC ; VC account sellers can open a case to add videos, which will also be displayed in the main and sub-picture modules .

2. Videos in the Review module: Videos in buyer reviews can present products to consumers in the most intuitive and three-dimensional way. High-quality review videos can help conversion rates even more than videos in the main and secondary images .

3. Videos in Advanced A+ Page: VC accounts can add videos in A+ by activating the Advanced A+ feature .

4. Store video: Sellers with brand registration can add videos directly through the brand flagship store, but this video will not be displayed on the product details page.

12. Videos of adult products, or videos containing offensive content such as nudity, profanity, or illegal activities.

13. Adding videos that you do not own the copyright to will result in copyright infringement.

7. Application scenarios of Listing videos

1. Unboxing video

Suitable for technology products, showing the whole process of taking the product out of a sealed box. This type of video is not only popular on YouTube, but is also often posted by consumers and reviewers, which can bring great benefits to the company.

2. Product comparison video

It is often used to compare different models of the same type of product, or to compare a product with its competitors. When comparing competing products, be sure to follow appropriate rules and legalities.

3. Product usage video

This video is suitable for most products and can describe how to use a product: how to install, clean and wear it, and in which life scenarios the product exists.

4. Funny parody videos

If funny videos are used in the right way, they can help drive sales of products, such as the viral videos that FiberFix and Squatty Potty generated.

Manufacturers often provide product videos, but custom videos often work better. However, if the manufacturer's video is all you have, use that.

5. Test video

This type of video is often used to test the limits of a product. The “Can It Blend?” series from blender manufacturer Blendtec is a good example. Zagg also recorded a video showing how its tempered glass protects against nuts, screws, and saw blades.
