In addition to being angry, the seller also expressed confusion: Why would the other party come to find fault when they clearly had not sold any of their products? The seller then logged into the backend and checked to confirm that all the links to the store were no longer available for sale, but found that there was still an FBA return.

As for the statement in the email that " I chose to follow others' sales at the beginning, but it's too late now ", the seller said that he had been away from the company for more than a year and had no enemies in the original company. His information was deceived to register an account in the original company, so the current store was not registered with the seller's own information, and he did not follow others' sales.

In addition, the seller stated that the products in his store were no longer available for sale, but the other party still left dozens of one-star bad reviews.

I originally thought that this series of threats to sellers was just an isolated case, but recently, several sellers have reported to us that they have also received threatening warning letters from Dark Horse Technology.

On September 14, a seller added the editor’s WeChat and asked directly: Have you reported this to the police?

Then a screenshot of a threatening letter from Dark Horse Technology was sent directly. Upon inquiry, the seller said that this was received by his store.

In the threatening letter, the other party started by saying: We have booked this store.

Such a "domineering" tone sounds somewhat familiar. The editor looked through the threatening letter received by the sellers who were forced to close their stores on August 27. It turns out that Dark Horse Technology had already made the same statement.

In the letter the seller received on September 14, the other party seemed to be even more aggressive: "If there are still products for sale tomorrow and not all products have been removed from the shelves, then we will continue to attack your store. This includes your company's big store. Tomorrow, if we see that your store still has products, then we will continue to attack it, and your store's resources will never be available. Think about it carefully."

The seller said that he received this threatening letter because he suddenly received a lot of orders for his products, and some of his store’s products were also copied.

I thought the other party would give up, but it was just a day of calm. On September 16, the seller said that the other party conducted test buys on different products in his store.

The threat letter said, "This is a small punishment from the seller you copied." This is exactly the same reason given to the seller who was forced to close the store. After questioning, the seller clarified that the store is full of his own products and there is no copycat sales. The other party is just looking for an excuse to exonerate himself.

We mentioned above that more than one seller received threatening letters. When we wanted to expose the threatening letter received by another seller, the seller said that he was afraid that the company's privacy would be leaked and would have a negative impact on the company in the future, so we gave up.

The other party said that his friend had also encountered this problem, but it was not because of a sudden surge in orders, but because he received threatening letters when he was ranked among the top few in the product category.

It is clear that many sellers have received threatening letters, and most of them are sellers whose sales have surged recently or whose categories are ranked high. We don’t know who will be threatened next.

On September 17, a seller posted on the forum: I finally found out the background of Dark Horse Technology. The post also included a WeChat/Alipay payment page with the "Dark Horse Technology" avatar.

In the post, a seller replied: I know this dark horse, it does other small businesses. So is there a case of duplicate names?

Therefore, the authenticity of the post remains to be investigated, and it is currently impossible to confirm that the seller shared the post is the Dark Horse Technology that sent the threatening letter.

But I hope that as the sellers say: there will be a day that will make people happy.

Where there is a market, there is competition. Nowadays, competition in the Amazon industry is becoming increasingly fierce. As the peak season approaches, the number of malicious competition incidents has increased significantly, but this does not mean that we can tolerate malicious competition and allow it to expand unscrupulously.
