Tampering with the main picture, following sales all day, malicious complaints, when will the unbridled competition end?

Just a while ago, we exposed the fact that Dark Horse Technology suppressed small sellers. It has been two weeks since then. The products of the parties involved have been forced to be removed from the shelves. However, Dark Horse Technology did not give up. Instead, it intensified and continued to harass and attack other sellers...

Regardless of the purpose, it is not right to make such a big fuss and prank other sellers, but this kind of unfair competition has always existed in the cross-border e-commerce circle. Today, we will count the malicious competition methods that sellers have encountered recently.

Recently, we received feedback from sellers saying that the pictures they linked to were maliciously modified, the product pictures disappeared, and a "Dark Horse Technology's follow-up selling warning" was displayed.

Coincidentally, in the seller communication group, a large number of sellers whose pictures had been tampered by Dark Horse Technology emerged, and the pictures were all changed to "Dark Horse Technology's follow-up selling warning."

I believe many sellers have heard of the "follow-selling warning". Before this, Dark Horse Technology has repeatedly threatened some sellers with this reason. Now history is repeating itself, but the sellers claim that they have not engaged in follow-selling, and this is just an excuse for malicious attacks.

In addition to maliciously tampering with sellers' product images, some sellers reported that their colleagues had also encountered "threats and complaints about second-hand goods" from Dark Horse Technology.

It can be seen that the behavior of Dark Horse Technology has affected many innocent sellers, but it is not known whether it is just a rampant prank or someone is using its name to do something malicious. So far, Dark Horse Technology has not come out to clarify, but has only extended its malicious hands to batches of sellers in the dark.

In addition to the large-scale "scam" by Dark Horse Technology, there is another group of sellers that must be wary of, and that is the sellers' competitors.

Recently, a seller complained in the forum: I woke up early in the morning and found that the link was removed and the main picture was changed to a Disney picture. I was speechless. Is there any way to change it back quickly? My brand is registered.

In the comment section, some sellers also said that they had the same experience. Not only were the pictures tampered with, but even the titles were tampered with.

Some sellers analyzed that this should be a VC account that copied and sold tampered pictures. It is basically difficult for sellers to modify them by themselves, and Disney pictures can easily cause infringement. This is most likely the reason why the seller's link was removed.

Some sellers also suggested that they could provide packaging pictures, product pictures (with UPC), open an urgent English case or provide the product URL of the brand website, which might help them to modify the product. At present, there is no latest information about this seller.

In addition to the main pictures and titles being tampered with, there are also many sellers who are targeted by competitors and copied all day. What's more, some sellers' stores have been maliciously reported hundreds of times, and more than 80 policy warnings appeared in just five minutes.

All of the above are just the tip of the iceberg of malicious competition, but any small move is enough to make sellers anxious. Such tactics are also common in the cross-border circle. They are willing to spend time and energy and even take risks to "kill" the competitor's store just to gain short-term benefits.

With the arrival of the peak season and Q4, the number of sellers who encounter such incidents is increasing. In this regard, some sellers have made suggestions. For problems such as main picture tampering and follow-selling, you can start from the following aspects:

1. Pay attention to the store products every day, especially slow-moving products, to confirm whether they have been maliciously copied or the pictures have been tampered with.

2. Apply for UPC exemption (you can apply with or without brand registration) to prevent VC accounts from directly modifying listings.

3. Provide product packaging pictures with UPC/EAN barcode labels, official website links, VAT invoices, etc., and open a case to file a complaint.

4. If you encounter the above situation, stop selling immediately, check the listing information, modify the pictures and then put the product on the shelf.

5. Find a reliable service provider, change the picture back first, repeat 2 to 3 times, and ask Amazon to lock the listing to prevent it from being changed.

At the same time, branding has become a general trend on the Amazon platform . For the long-term interests of sellers, it is best to register a brand as early as possible to prevent being targeted by VC sellers and bad copycats.

Here, we once again call on all sellers to jointly maintain a good atmosphere in the cross-border e-commerce circle, create an industry atmosphere of fair competition, and reduce unfair competition. Only when everyone is well, will things be truly good!

If there are sellers with the same experience, please share or output your views in the comment area~
