Tokopedia platform buy now, pay later transaction volume tripled in 2021

DNY123 learned that according to Tokopedia's data, the number of transactions completed through Tokopedia's buy now, pay later function tripled in 2021.

Tokopedia said in a statement that the number of users using Tokopedia's buy now, pay later service almost doubled in 2021 compared to the previous year, and transaction volume tripled.

Tokopedia said the buy now, pay later payment trend is spreading to all regions of Indonesia. During 2021, the cities with the largest growth in the number of users of the platform's buy now, pay later function include Batam, Pekanbaru, Bandar Lampung, Yogyakarta and Balikpapan.

Tokopedia also provides sellers with a loan service, Modal Toko, where sellers can borrow up to 300 million rupiah with low interest rates and the approval process only takes a few minutes.

The cities with the most loan applications using Modal Toko in 2021 include Malang, Semarang, Medan, Denpasar and Palembang.

Tokopedia said it hopes to meet the daily needs of Indonesian users and support the development of local small and medium-sized enterprises through functions such as payment and loans.
