Operational Tips-Detailed Explanation of Amazon Category Review (Must-have for Sellers)

In order to maximize customer satisfaction, Amazon usually distinguishes products by reviewing their categories. In order to ensure that buyers have a better shopping experience on the platform, only high-quality sellers who abide by the rules are allowed to sell products, in order to provide better services to customers. So what are the requirements for category review? Which categories need to be classified? Let's take a look:

1. What are the general and rigid requirements for classification review?

1. The account's sales plan must be a professional seller

2. ODR (Order defect rate) order defect rate <1%

3. Pre-fulfillment cancel rate <2.5%

4. Late shipment rate: <4%

5. Provide any invoices, receipts, inspection certificates, etc. that may be required during the audit as required by Amazon.

In addition, different product categories have specific requirements associated with them.

II. Requirements for relevant materials for classification review

1. Authorized regular UPC code (UPC code has been introduced in detail in the previous article)

2. Receipts, invoices, packing lists: must be valid within 90 days (validity dates vary for specific categories); contain the supplier's address and contact information

3. Related certificates: CE certificate for electronics; FDA certificate for cosmetics and skin care products; nickel content certificate for jewelry

4. Corporate website: must be a corporate website with a first-level domain name

Note: There are some special categories that require products to be sent to Amazon for testing. For example, the classification review of the Fine Jewelry category requires a processing fee of US$500, which will not be refunded (regardless of whether your classification review is successful or not). In addition, you also need to send the products they need to their testing department for testing.

3. Products that require classification review before they can be sold

1. Automotive & Powersports

2. Jewelry

3. Holiday Selling Guidelines in Toys & Games

4. Beauty category: Requirements and application
